This locally guided food walking tour includes all tastings and a real insight into the life of a local.
As they say, you can't beat Wellington on a good day and while we can't control the weather, we do like to make it a great days while you're exploring the city with us. The tour includes coffee, chocolate, a second generation owned restaurant, a gorgeous waterfront eatery with a special purpose and maybe the answer to the question 'where is the best cheese scone?" And we're topping it off with craft beer, charcuterie and cheese. Wellington is the culinary capital of New Zealand and we love you all our hidden gems!
It's a slow paced walking tour that shared the character, culture and history of this great capital city along the way. There is time to stop and buy if you would like to and our very knowledgeable team are more than happy to set you right for places to eat and enjoy during your tour!

5.00Julie met us on time, explained the day, and gave us more local information that provided contact for the foods we would sample. She was knowledgeable without being verbose or worse, boring. Instead, she was energetic, knowable, engaging and fun to be around. The food was varied and plentiful. A nice variety of tastes and venues. Highly recommend.

5.00We loved our tour with Jami who was a great companion and guide around Wellington. Not only did she enlighten us as to the history of the area and the various buildings, but she also took us to places we would never have visited nor found just on our own. From a Maori-owned breakfast and lunch place (that we are revisiting) to a true hole in the wall on Cuba Street. All were delicious and a revelation. To get the most out of your Wellington trip I seriously recommend taking this tour.

5.00This is an enjoyable way to explore Wellington. Our guide, Julie, was a great source of local knowledge and history. All of the restaurants we visited have a special character and delicious food. They are places we would not have found on our own. The amount of walking and the pace were appropriate for our group of three senior citizens. Highly recommend.

5.00The owner herself met us in Wellington and gave us the ultimate Wellington food tour. This is a must do for every foodie. I cannot say enough about this tour and the amazing woman who owns the company & gave us a tour and food experience of a lifetime. I did not know what to expect, but this tour exceeded whatever expectations I might've had. Do this even if you're not a foodie. I am not going to spoil this, but the chocolate store was like being on the set of Willy Wonka's factory. I even brought some chocolate bars home.

5.00Great food tour with our guide Juli. She was very knowledgable not just about the food but also about Wellington, which made it very interesting . She was also very aware of what interested us as a group and adapted the tour accordingly so we could see other points of interest . The food was lovely and very filling , don’t have breakfast if starting at 10am! Would thoroughly recommend

5.00Had a lovely time with Juli! Listing needs to change address of meeting place as the center has moved down the street! NOT very helpful! Enjoyed our leisure walk with foods that really were not "native" to New Zealand but enjoyed our time with Juli.
