The Windy City is known for its food, architecture, and haunting history! Walk with us as the sun sets through downtown Chicago, hearing some of the most gruesome and creepy Chicago stories. The first stop is the Congress Hotel, the most haunted hotel in Chicago. Walk along the streets that H. H. Holmes, Chicago's first serial killer, wandered as he stalked his prey, get a glimpse of Chicago’s sordid past through stories of the Everleigh Club and the 1900s Red Light district, and learn about downtown prison breaks.

5.00Terrific history, thoughtfully told. Great for visitors and Chicago natives alike. James is an engaging storyteller (even when the el is going by!) and answered all of our questions. The 2 hours flew by. Perfect for spooky season!

5.00James was an incredible tour guide! He was a wealth of information regarding Chicago’s history and gave a great peek into some of Chicago haunts. My husband and I learned so much about the Chicago World’s Fair and Chicago Fire. Walking through downtown Chicago at night was stunning!
Such a fun + insightful way to experience Chicago. 💯 recommend.

5.00This tour was one of the best experiences we had in Chicago. James was an excellent storyteller who tied in the perfect amount of history, suspense, and levity. It was such a great way to see Chicago, too! We chose this tour over the others because we wanted one that focused on the ghosts/folklore of Chicago without the typical gangster/mob stuff, and it exceeded our expectations! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in Chicago's darker history or ghost stories.

5.00This was my husband's first trip to Chicago and we knew we wanted to hit all the major sites. This was a last minute booking for us - we figured it was a good way to do something a little less touristy. We loved it! Mike was a great guide and we got some really fun creepy and scandalous history. The group size was not too big, even close to Halloween.
