Cliffs of Moher
See the majestic Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland's most recognizable natural gems. With their commanding cliffs rising over 200 meters above the Atlantic Ocean, these vistas are simply spectacular. Take in the untamed beauty of this magnificent coastal area and let yourself be mesmerized by the force of the ocean and the waves slamming against the rock cliffs. Access to an interactive video at the visitor centre that offers a deeper knowledge of this natural wonder is included in the experience, along with admittance to the cliffs. As an Irish proverb says, "to be Irish is to stand as high as the cliffs with a soul as deep as the ocean". So come, stand with us and let the beauty of the Cliffs of Moher touch your soul.

Excellent Tour, Kevin was the best with great history and information concerning everything about Ireland; people, locations, why things happened and when events occurred.

The only gripe I have with this tour is that this is a large tour group ferried in a double deck bus. I understand this is more economical, but when you have so many people in a tour, inevitably someone is late coming back which impacted an already tight schedule. The day we visited the cliffs were glorious: no wind with lots of sun. But I would prefer a smaller group.

Great trip out to the Cliffs of the Moher. Our driver was great, very informative on the long drive but also didn't talk too much. It was wonderful driving through the Irish countryside. The Galway stop was okay. Didn't really need to stop there, it would have been better if we had some more direction of what we should so in the town. Overall, it was a long day but we had a good time.

This was a beautiful day! Our tour guide was amazing- not only was he driving the bus but he was also giving the tour and wrangling the group all day. He did a fantastic job keeping us on schedule to the best of his ability. We had the perfect amount of time at the cliffs, plenty of time to take in the views and visit the gift shop. The driver then stopped for a photo op along the way for 15-20 minutes. We then went to lunch at a cute pub- as a large group, lunches are typically chaotic but this pub had everything under control and everyone fed in the allotted time. My mom, who had the fish and chips, commented that it was the best fish she ever had. From there we visited Galway, which was fun to visit, but we truly didn’t have enough time here to see much- that is the only thing I would change. I would give up the photo op location to have more time in Galway. Otherwise, this was a fantastic tour with an WONDERFUL tour guide. Great day. Highly recommend.

My sister and I went on this trip and our guide was Quiggs. We really enjoyed the experience, he was really knowledgeable and entertaining. The trip was well organized and we had enough time to visit each location properly. No complaints really! If you get the chance to book a tour with Quiggs & Fred you won't regret it!

Purchased an excursion to Cliffs of Moher (90min), a lunch stop at Fanore (45min), The Burren (20min) and Galway (80min) via Tripadvisor for Wed, Oct 29, 2025 costing $143.40 USD. Issue #1: The bus broke down en route to Cliffs of Moher leaving us stranded on the side of a busy two lane road. Issue #2: The time between bathroom breaks was too long, the bus didn't have a bathroom and we were on the side of the road for close to an hour. Issue #3: The driver was heard talking to the tour operator informing them that the engine had overheated again and that he had poured all of the coolant they gave him into the radiator. The tour operator knew the bus had issues and decided to send it cross country anyway. Issue #4: We were picked up by another tour company bus that had people's belongings on the seats that we had to move. Issue #5: The emergency bus was undersized so people had to stand in the isles for the remaining 30+min of the trip. Issue #6: Our tour guide was the driver so this was no longer a guided tour. Issue #7: We were unceremoniously dropped off at Cliffs of Moher without instruction. The trip description said that tickets to Cliffs of Moher were included but we weren't given any. I messaged the tour operator asking, "...Dropped off with no direction. Do we wait for tickets? Are we to be met by an operator?". After waiting around we all just started walking around seeing what we could see. After the allowed 90min had passed we returned to the drop off location. Issue #8: We waited 48min at the drop off location to be picked up. Finally, 138min from the time I messaged them I heard from the tour operator saying we were to be picked up by another company to go to the parking lot and look for a specific bus. Issue #9: We were told our excursion to Fanore was canceled. Issue #10: We were then told that we would be skipping lunch stop. Issue #11: We were told our excursion to The Burren had been canceled. Issue #12: We were again unceremoniously dropped off, this time in Galway and told that we would not be allowed the 80min but instead were told to be back at the drop off location in 45min. This isn't enough time to both get food and see Galway so it too was canceled as we chose food. Issue #13: We arrived back at the drop off point as instructed but there was no bus. Messaged the tour operator and they never responded. Issue #14: We waited 30min standing on the sidewalk. Finally another passenger called the tour company. Issue #15: The tour company told him that the pickup location had been changed and that we would now need to walk three blocks to where the bus was located. The tour company told us, "...Unfortunately, the issues that occurred on that day were beyond our control..." What?! No, everything that you did wrong was completely within your control and if you truly believe that then you have no business running tours. Buses with known issues should not be in service much less used to drive 70 passengers coast to coast across Ireland. Additionally tour operators should have an emergency plan in place in the event something like this happens. Particularly when your bus has known mechanical issues. The lack of communication and lack of accountability of the tour operator is appalling. The inability of Irish Day Tours to manage the situation was frightening and they should not be allowed to operate. Since Irish Day Tours isn't based in the US and Trip Advisor is who I booked with the BBB complaint I filled is against Trip Advisor. They should do a better job vetting their tour operators.

The tour itself was great but the tour guide ruined it for me. He consistently begged for tips and it was extremely unprofessional. He kept saying that how you tipped was how you represented your home country. It’s not my job to pay your wages, sorry dude. After telling everyone numerous times that we don’t stop for potty breaks he caved in after a passenger bothered him twice for a break. No means no. We lost time because of this. While the cliffs and Galway were amazing, I wouldn’t do this tour solely because of the driver.

Richard our guide and driver was efficient and funny along the way. The cliffs of moher was very cold and rainy so dress accordingly if you go in Nov. We still enjoyed it but didn't spend as much time as we would like there. The Burrens were cool but we're only there for about 10 min. We were excited to arrive in Galway for the 1st day of the Christmas market so that was great!

[re-uploading because it keeps getting removed? This is my authentic feedback] Apart from the cliffs themselves (magnificent) it was the most agonizing day tour I've been on. I'd booked this tour based on how phenomenal a previous tour with this company to Boyne Valley was! But the driver-guide really makes or breaks the tone for the day. Predominantly, Richard's commentary was on housing prices and hotel prices as we drove through various areas. Richard demanded our undivided attention and silence as he rambled on, but it was simply not interesting to hear about prices of things and his telling us how restaurants make a tally of which nationalities tip poorly. I cannot stress enough the repetitiveness of being lectured about tipping on several legs of the journey. Likewise about us not bringing "smelly food" on the bus, and saying he'll leave people behind if they aren't back on time: Fair call to brief us on tourbus etiquette as we begin the day but once is enough, you know? It's enough. I dreaded getting back on that bus for another earful. Worse, Richard kept telling people to shut up? even when someone was interpreting for their companion as Richard spoke. It really wasn't a distraction at all, the overhead speakers are loud enough throughout the bus. I thought that was an appalling way to speak to anyone, let alone a customer who is doing the most natural thing to include their travel companion, or to point out scenery, or discuss something more interesting than housing prices. You know, it would have been really nice to hear about regional history or facts about the cliffs. Sometimes he had dry humour (asking if we can see Boston over the horizon, then pointing to village signage lol.) but maybe he doesn't like his job and tourists in general. What an unpleasant guide.
