The Ultimate Outlander Experience -
Step into the world of Outlander on this unforgettable journey through Scotland’s most iconic filming locations. This private tour takes you deep into the heart of Jamie and Claire’s story.
We begin at Lallybroch (Midhope Castle) – Jamie Fraser’s beloved ancestral home. Walk in Jamie’s footsteps at this atmospheric 15th-century tower house, a must-visit for any true Outlander fan.
Then, visit the magical site of Craigh na Dun standing stones , where Claire was first transported back in time. While the stones are fictional, the filming location is real.
Finally, we head to the haunting battlefield of Culloden, where you can visit the Clan Fraser gravestone and reflect on the real history behind the story. All travel time included in tour duration.

Midhope Castle
Lallybroch – Midhope Castle The first location on this tour is Lallybroch – Midhope Castle, ancestral home of Jamie Fraser . Outlander scenes were shot at Midhope Castle on the fringes of the Hopetoun Estate near South Queensferry. Midhope was built in the 15th Century by John Martyne, laird of Medhope. It was rebuilt in the mid 1600s and remains much the same today.
Kinloch Rannoch
Craigh na Dun standing stones The Craigh na Dun film location is at Kinnloch Rannoch in Perthshire. This is where Claire touches the standing stones and travels back in time .On the south side of the Dunalastair Reservoir in Tay Forest Park under the gaze of the spectacular Schiehallion mountain, this is scenic Highlands at its best. You will recognise the mound from the roadside. The stones feature heavily in a number of Outlander episodes including Season 7 when Roger goes back in time to find his son Jemmy

False advertising, terrible communication. Im going to start this off by saying our entire 2 week trip was based around going on this tour. My mom is a huge outlander fan, and this was very very important to her. Booked months in advance. She was so excited. My heart breaks for her as this was not how things were supposed to go…. First of all, the tour operator messaged us via the viator app a few days prior to our tour, telling us we were leaving at 9 am. Since every other page of our tour said 10 am - we replied back for clarification, AND a contact phone number as we are overseas and only 1 person in our group has calling available. No answer. The day of our tour, still no reply & scared that we were going to be late - we showed up at the pick up spot at 845. 10:20 am and tears start falling. Were stressed, and sad, and cant get ahold of the driver. We looked and felt like absolute fools. Viator support then lets us know that the driver was trying to text us. Told them again, we are overseas and can he please call us at a certain phone#. Confirmed 5 times we were at the meeting point. FINALLY got the drivers contact number. On the phone, the driver said he assumed we were no shows !!!! We spent over a thousand dollars on this tour why the heck wouldnt we show?!?! Finally - 11:15 they showed up. Driver said he didnt check his messages - but had the audacity to assume we were no shows without checking his messages!! (seriously?!) Now were 2 hours behind. Walked fast and cut time off our stops to make up for the time wasted. But alas By the time we got to Culloden, everything was closed. Our hearts were so so sunken at this point. Seeing my mom cry over the disappointment day was heart breaking. Hour long silences. No music or anything. We all fell asleep in the car multiple times. 3 usb chargers - how about 1 WORKING usb that the driver used for his phone? Made the driver stop at the culloden restaurant because we could not survive the drive home without a meal. Best part of our day was the sweet sympathetic waitress there. Incredibly sad and disappointed with this experience. We got back to town around midnight , and had to be up at 5 am the next day. Not even sure of our drivers name as he neglected to even introduce himself, or ask us our names. A whole day spent with a complete stranger who didnt seem to care. Felt like the longest day of our lives. Wish we would have taken the chance to go with one of the many wonderful, sympathetic taxi drivers that saw us standing on the street in Edinburgh for 2 hours. Save yourself and book through a larger , reputable, tour company. We will be requesting atleast a partial refund.

It was a very long day. 12 hours. You need to pack a lunch. The tour driver is a driver and not a tour guide.

This was a very exciting tour for us to take. Our guide was a kind gentleman. We missed the museum visitors Center in Collodon. This was a great disappointment. Viator did not coordinate the timing of these tours. Better communication was essential.
