My Son Sanctuary
Our guide will pick you up from your hotel and depart for My Son, one of the most important sites of the Champa Kingdom. Nestled in a beautiful valley and surrounded by mountain ranges, My Son is one of the most stunning sights in Central Vietnam, located just 80 kilometers from Da Nang. Whilst excavating My Son, letters were found revealing that the complex had been used for offerings and the worship of the Hindu god since the 4th century. In 1999, UNESCO declared My Son a World Heritage Site. The My Son Sanctuary is a remarkable architectural ensemble that developed over ten centuries, vividly illustrating the spiritual and political life during a significant phase in Southeast Asia. Originally built with wood, the temples in My Son were completely destroyed by fire in the 6th century and restored in the 7th century by Sambhuvarman, who rebuilt them with locally made bricks. By the 13th century, more than 70 similar temples had been constructed.

5.00Our guide was fantastic! We did the private tour and could not be happier. He gave us lots of information on My Son, and was helpful in explaining why entertainment was shut down (due to a state funeral). I also really liked the fact that he is the first tour guide we've had here who did not try to get us to book with him privately away from Viator. When we did ask him if he did tours to Hoi An, he told us we really didn't need a tour guide, it was somewhere we could go on our own just by taxi. I appreciate the honesty. I would definitely look with this company again!

5.00The weather was scorching hot on the day, but the transfers were comfortable in an air conditioned van. The guide was english speaking and very resourceful. She gave a lot of information on the way and also at the site. The historical site itself was very beautiful, with a theatrical show to top it off. We were picked and dropped off from/to our hotel in DaNang on time.
