It’s a long day but well worth it! Tomas was our guide for the day and he was wonderful. Small group tour was much better than a large group bus tour. We were a group of 6 for the day. It was a perfect sized group and Tomas did a wonderful job driving us and guiding us through the two cities before our free time. We went in December as well so we got to experience the Christmas markets in each city!
Operator cancelled at 4am with no explanation or apology. Awful!

Avoid this trip if you don’t want to be let down and very disappointed. We booked several months ago on Viator and got a nice email from the tour operator R-Transfer saying how pleased they were we had booked with them and how much they were looking forward to seeing us. We paid the full £267 about 2 weeks in advance. It was a very special trip for our 41st wedding anniversary and to be the highlight of our 4 day trip to Vienna. The pickup time at our hotel was to be confirmed the day before. I got no email the day before so emailed R-Transfer in the evening but got no response so called twice in the late evening but there was no response. The original booking had said pickup was to be about 8am so we got up early to get a quick breakfast only to find an email send at 4am cancelling with no explanation or apology. A full refund was to be given in 3 to 5 days. We were so disappointed. The operator must have known for days that they were going to cancel but didn’t tell us. So the day was wasted as we had no time to book alternatives in Vienna. If only they had given us some notice. To say we felt disappointed and let down was an understatement. Bratislava was to be new for us and we know Budapest so were planning a quick trip on the Danube as we had done that before. So if you want a trip to Bratislava and Budapest and don’t want to be disappointed and let down then avoid this operator. I will be complaining to Viator about why they allow them to operate on their site given they cancel 4 hours before pickup with an email in the middle of the night. If I could give zero stars if I would.

If we could give more than 5 stars we would. Filip was an excellent tour guide. Day was great, very informative. If you want to learn more about Bratislava and Budapest this trip is a must. Ooo and food in Budapest was lovely. Try the Chicken Praprikash and Langos. Amazing.

What an amazing day. Filip was an excellent guide and driver. Got to see numerous historical sites and enjoy the Christmas Markets. Long day, but worth it.

This is a great trip. We got to see a lot of. Viliam was a great tour guide . He is very knowledgeable. He didn’t mind us asking a lot of questions. He never rushed us at any of the stops. Went out of his way to make sure we had an enjoyable day!

This daytrip from Vienna was so worth it even if it was a long day of traveling. Our guide, Dmitry, was very kind, courteous, and knowledgeable, which made the trip an excellent experience. We had a great group too, but having a guide like Dmitry really made the experience because he made sure we were well taken cared of by stopping for restroom breaks and providing water. I appreciated his overall approach in providing historical context while walking us to places and giving the group the choice on how long we’d like to spend at certain places. It made visiting Budapest and Bratislava (even if for a brief time) comfortable and convenient. Thank you, Dmitry!

Filip was a fantastic tour guide! I was picked up and dropped off at my hotel. Huge bonus. The trips to Budapest and Bratislava were filled with great information by Filip, an excellent restaurant recommendation for traditional Hungarian food and shopping at the Christmas markets. All in all, a wonderful day. Highly recommend.
