We had a great time visiting the farm, and learning about how they produce their food, especially the goat cheese. Afterwards we had lunch on the patio, with goat cheese, home baked bread, home made jams, honey, and other products from the farm.

Wow, we loved this educational experience. We learned lots of things about alternative lifestyles, food autonomy, respect for biodiversity. Essential things in today's times... It even made us want to dig even deeper, and why not, adopt this kind of life one day!

If you are looking for a return to basics, an experience off the beaten track, you are in the right place. An enriching, educational, rejuvenating and soothing experience. To do and do again regularly if you are lucky enough to live in the area. Don't hesitate to take a detour when traveling to treat yourself to this moment when time seems to stand still. An inspiring family that allows us to leave invigorated and full of ideas to live differently and take a different look at our environment.

I visited Estrela do Sul this summer and it was one of the best experience I've had. The hosts were very welcoming and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. I learned a lot during my stay, especialy about gardening, farming and animal care. I would recommend to everyone.

We visited the farm Estrela do Sul near Trancoso and it was great! The landscape is beautiful and the place is peaceful, the animals are all very sweet, and we learnt a lot from the people there ! So many interesting things about organic farming, about ecology and farm life... We highly recommend this place for future visitors !
