Experience Montserrat at your own pace and spend quality time with your family or friends. We work around your schedule so that you maximize your time in Barcelona. Choose the focus of your visit to Montserrat and we will create your unique itinerary. Enjoy the great outdoors by exploring the Natural Park with the legendary Benedictine monastery. Your guide will offer you several hiking options with different levels including the one-way ticket on the Sant Joan's Funicular to reach the mountain ridgeline. You will be taken around the big crowds to some off-the-beaten sights. You will also visit the Basilica which hosts the most important treasure of this spiritual place – the Black Madonna, followed by the farmer’s market to try some local products. The whole tour itinerary will be custom-made with an option to spend extra time in Montserrat if desired. It takes an hour to reach Montserrat Mountain from the Bcn city center.

5.00Had a great day with Stepan as our guide! He was punctual, very informative, and flexible according to the needs of our group. We did a small hike down the mountain and learned about the history of the city and the mountains. Saw the monastery and museum and overall had a wonderful time. I would recommend the tour and Stepan as a guide and will be back to book more tours with them!

5.00Montserrat is magical! Stefan picked us up at our hotel. It was a beautiful drive from Barcelona. Stefan is an expert on the area. The cathedral and the Black Madonna are fascinating. The museum was full of art from the masters. Picasso, Monet, Dahli and more.

5.00Amazing experience. Stephan was an incredible guide and was the perfect blend of knowledgeable and fun. He managed to engage our 14 year old and 8 year girls in the history and beauty of Montserrat with humor and wit. The monastery is just beautiful with breathtaking views. This tour was the highlight of our trip Barcelona - thank you Stephan!

5.00A fabulous day out. Stepan picked us up from the hotel at an accomodating hour and chatted to us on the way to Montserrat answering all our questions. He was patient and clear in explaining our day to us and gave us several choices of walks we could do based on our ability. It was hot and he was attentive and took great care of us. His commentary was interesting on a wide range of things from the history to the geology. He provided plenty of water. The only time he wasn’t with us was in the museum (or if you see the black Madonna). We spent around 7 hours with him (including about 2hrs travelling to and from Barcelona). Stepan was great fun to talk to and was interested in hearing about us and our country. We highly recommend him, it was a great day trip from Barcelona.

5.00A family group of 7 joined Stephan for a tour of Montserrat (and hike) and local dining. Stephan planned the outing very well, matching our requirements, ages and interests. His knowledge and level of explaining history and facts was spot on. He even found us a great local diner when the place we wanted to go to was full. The van was large and comfortable. Very highly recommend you use Stephan when you come to Barcelona.

5.00We had a wonderful time on this private family tour of Montserrat! From the moment we were picked up, everything was smooth and well-organized. Stephan was friendly, knowledgeable, the scenery at Montserrat was absolutely stunning, and having a private guide made it easy to go at our own pace and really soak it all in. This was a highlight of our trip. Highly recommended!

5.00Great day trip. Stephan was a wonderful guide. He customized our tour to meet our needs. The mountain and Monastery was beautiful. Then we were treated to some liquor and delicious cheese and honey. Definitely recommend!!!
