5.00We loved the food on this tour! The guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of historical information as well as a history of the food and culture. Loved the empanadas and unique ice cream. Would definitely recommend!

1.00The guide Pablo started by making passes at one of the pretty young participant, making us feel very uncomfortable. The tour took us to the local market, interesting to look at, but not to eat the food there. The sanitary conditions were extremely poor. At the second stop Pablo put on gloves to help cut and serve the food, proceeded to drop one on the floor and picked it up and reused it. He noticed that we were not eating the food so he offered for us to leave the tour and get a refund. We accepted, he walked us to the entrance and left us in a very unsafe area of Santiago. When we requested the refund it was denied, then partially given by Viator, which is still unacceptable. He said a refund, not partial, and we were not given one. We are very disappointed with Viator for not backing up the companies they deal with. We have taken many Viator tours and now will look for another company when we travel. Do not take this tour, the food preparation is in very unsanitary conditions and the guide lies and really did not give any interesting or insightful information.

5.00Pablo is a great tour guy with lots of food knowledge. It’s all about food. He would prepare food for us in the market and later on we’ll eat more food in a local restaurant. The tour was supposed to end in three hours, but he liked our group so he took us to a local bar to make earthquake and some ice cream. we had only four people total.

5.00My wife and I had a free day before we had to go back to the States, we booked this experience hoping to see more of this wonderful City. We were not disappointed. We had an amazing guide named Pablo who grew up in the city and showed us all over. We toured the local markets on a Saturday morning and got to see what life in Santiago is really like. So many different types of food. Later when I googled the food of Chile, I realized we had tried it all! Breads, fruits, meats, cheeses, stews, corn, spices. Completo dogs, Huesillo peach drink and the famous lucuma ice cream. We had a pretentious couples in our group who seemed intimidated by the crowds. No worries for us. Pablo was a local who spoke perfect English and seemed to know most of the vendors personally. We finished happy and full and learned a great deal about the city. Would recommend trying this. He also took tons of pictures for us so we didn’t have to. He has a background in photography. Before we got to the airport, I had over 30 pictures sent to my Whats App documenting our trip. This was a very memorable experience and would highly recommend.
Disappointed with communication and refund policy.I don't know if I can recommend this as the tour didn't happen..

1.00I'm sure this would have been a great tour however I requested the 12:00 on 2/1 for the 2/4 tour as the only options were 10 & 12. On the 3rd I was told the 12 was full and only 10 & 2:00 were open so I picked the 2:00. Then was told it was full and only 10 was available which off course was out of the question as we had to check out of our hotel. I requested a refund as all the time changes occurred by the tour operator after the 24 hour cancellation time which I haven't received. I disputed this Viator and they reached out to the tour operator and got no response. Very disappointed as we were really looking forward to this tour.

5.00Such a wonderful experience. Pablo is so passionate about what he does. He takes you on a journey of the food of Santiago and introduced us to so many different foods and dishes, including fruits we do not have at home. It was a delight to get to see his home town through his eyes. You can't go wrong with this tour.

5.00Visited local markets used by the locals. Tried several culturally common dishes. Introduced to market purveyors. Pablo was very knowledgeable about the food, fun to be with and took great care of us. Highly recommend.
