Start with tastings of cool-climate wines and handcrafted spirits at two boutique vineyards. Enjoy seasonal cider samplings and refuel with a gourmet winery lunch or cosy taphouse meal, depending on the day.

Visit a local honey producer with a live bee display and sample raw, locally harvested honey. Guests can also upgrade to include a hands-on cheesemaking session with Tasmania’s only sheep’s milk cheesemaker. Contact the office for pricing and availability.

A surprise tour of Tasmania’s (Hobart) emerging Whisky Gin and Brady distilleries. Blackmans Bay Drifters End Charles Rubens estate. And finished off with lunch at Frog Mores Winery. Each offering had their unique selling point and take on classic Gin and Whisky offeringss. Thanks to our host Ingrid.

The host Ingrid was so very accommodating and generous. Nothing was a problem. Conversation flowed easily. And taught us how to make cheese. She went above and beyond to make it a fun relaxing tour. The wineries & cider distillery we visited were also welcoming and informative.

With just my husband and myself on this tour we had a wonderful personal experience. We were able to chat to each of the sites representatives or owners who were happy to share their story and their products. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Ingrid as our guide, threw ina few little detours which were just icing on the cake of our tour.

Ingrid was fantastic! Great to learn the history of the area as we went along. The Hertsview Winery & Home Hill Winery tastings were exhilarating! Lunch at Home Hill Restaurant was superbly delicious!! The extra activities to the secret bakery & cider tasting was great. To top it off the honey tasting at The Honey Pot was tasty & a chance to try some yummy ice cream & do a little retail therapy. Overall a joyous experience and a day tour worth doing for a day in Tassie with the family. Loved it!

We had a delightful day with Ingrid exploring the hidden food and wine treasures. I loved the lunch the best of all. The food was amazing. It was interesting comparing the Tasmanian wines to our West Australian ones. Ingrid’s knowledge of the area and insights to the country side, food and wine was second to none.

An absolutely glorious day touring the Huon Valley with Ingrid. Her historical knowledge and connection with culinary delights were very interesting. The food and wine tasting was delicious and Ingrid’s recommendations were excellent. We felt very safe with her driving enabling us to enjoy the day without getting lost!! I might even give cheese making a go when I get home 😊

I’m not a foodie but I loved this tour as it is fun to go around with a local and meet other locals and gain a snapshot into their lives and the craft of making fine foods. I especially loved the blackberry and blueberry fortied wines and the Haskap berry farm. I recommend this tour for those who like a relaxed holiday, love gourmet food, or even for those of just a curious nature about how the world works.
