This hop-on hop-off expirence is a classic sightseeing option allowing Frankfurt visitors to familiarize with the city. The city tour loop takes you to the highlights throughout Frankfurt. With the all loops Grand Ticket (city & skyline) you can explore even more of the major sights in Frankfurt, such as the “Main Tower“, Eurotower (European Central Bank), Trade Fair Center, Frankfurt Zoo, “Eschenheimer Tor” Town Gate as well as along the banks of River Main. There are however many other tourist attractions to see during this Frankfurt City & Skyline tour. Each loop is 60 minutes.

1.00We booked the hop on hop off bus for the day in Frankfurt, unknowingly that there was a gay pride parade happening all day that shut down the city Center. The bus did not show up as the roads were closed, so we (with a group of people) walked along the route until we could find a bus running. We ultimately waved one down on the south side of the river. He informed us that it was an altered shorter route. It was disappointing that we did not see all we wanted to. The tour company or Viator could have communicated this and compensated something - ie. offer a different day.

3.00This is exactly what you would expect for a “hop on / Hop Off” city tour. The only complaint is that we purchased an upgraded route that had more stops but we never were told how to access those stops. We tried switching from a green to a red bus since the routes on the map we were given were those colors, but it didn’t seem to make a difference. Both routes were the same.
