For this tour are 12 hours in total (7am to 7pm).
When visiting Chichen Itza you will always be in the company of the certified guide and visit the most important monuments such as El Castillo, the Mayan ball game, the venus platform, the Tzompantli, sacred cenote and snail observatory among others.
All vans feature an icebox so you can have your drinks fresh during the tour.
The tour takes place in both languages (in Spanish and English).

In the van you take a fridge with ice to store the drinks you carry
Have a good breakfast before leaving on the tour
Tickets to Chichen Itza can be paid in cash or by card (additional charge of 3%)
Not recommended for travelers who have trouble walking or use cane

This tour starts at 07:00 a.m. We have three meeting points to be able to take this tour, it is estimated 30 minutes to have everyone on board the van, then we stop at a self-service store so that they can buy water and snacks for the way, at 08:00 a.m. we are on our way to the first destination that is Chichen Itza, which is 2 hours walk.
Chichen Itza
When arriving at the archaeological site, tickets are purchased for the entrance to the site (it is important to mention that this access ticket is not included and must be paid when arriving in cash with Mexican pesos or by card has an additional charge of 3% over the current price). 2 hours are spent to tour the archaeological site in the company of the guide and additional 30 minutes of free time. The most important monuments are visited in the following order: Snail Observatory, Ossuary, The Market, Thousand Columns Group, The Castle, Mayan Ball Game, Tzompantli, Venus Platform and Sacred Cenote.

5.00I would suggest wearing your swimsuit and light clothing so when you get to the cenote you don’t lose time changing. You will put your stuff in a locker, shower, and get your life jacket. The bus does have AC and both the driver and tour guide Alex and Alex are amazing. Well worth the time and money! If I had to change anything it would be 30 min more in the cenote and 30 min less in Izamal. We climbed the pyramid and had ice cream visited a few shops and still had 15 min to spare.

2.00Our guide was Michelle and driver was Diego. To the tour’s credit, they do take you to each place listed in the description. However, I paid for a guided tour of Chichén Itza and I did not receive that. We were left behind at the door because we were not allowed to bring in a doll in our bag (we were not warned beforehand that we wouldn’t be able to bring it in) and we had to try to find our van in a sea of vans in the parking lot and eventually had to just rent a locker. No big deal, but our guide left and did not let us know the route she would be taking so we ended up having to walk around alone. That is the only part of the tour that is guided, so we basically paid for someone to drive us to the different places. The cenote was beautiful and definitely worth a visit. The food was mediocre without many vegetarian options. This is the only tour company I’ve used that does not carry something distinguishable like a flag or umbrella, which I think would be helpful for anyone who is separated from the group.

4.00Overall great value tour, transport was comfortable overall but not a lot of leg space between the seats. Chichen Itza was the first stop and the timing in the morning was great given the heat and sun - it was slightly less busy. The guide Saul was knowledgeable and provided both English and Spanish explanations throughout the visit of the site. Next stop was at the Ik-Kil cenote, which is beautiful but very crowded and somewhat of a touristy destination compared to many other more secluded cenotes. The place is well organized and they provide lockers, changing rooms and life jackets to swim in the cenote. Next stop was a buffet lunch in a nearby hotel. The food was plain but satisfying enough. Last stop was Izimal where you can climb the in-town pyramid but by the time we came down to visit the town, it was pouring rain unfortunately as the town looked picturesque. I appreciated there was no forced shopping stop anywhere so no pressure. That said, the archeological site of Chichen Itza is overrun by vendors all selling pretty much the same - its out of place and does impact the visit. It was a good option for a day tour, and for the price we felt satisfied.
