Discover the archaeological areas of Uxmal and Kabah with a full tour accompanied by a certified guide. Walk through structures that highlight the Puuc style of the area and keep mysteries and legends. Marvel at the Puuc style. Admission to the archaeological areas is not included.
Visit the Chocolate Museum (Choco Story). Learn about the ancient history of cocoa, from its origins, distribution and uses around the world, to ancient Mayan methods of preparation. Walk through the museum and visit the botanical gardens with cocoa trees. Complement your visit with a tour of the animal shelter, where you can admire endemic wildlife rescued. Admission to the museum is already included.
This tour lasts 10 hours (8am to 6pm).
This tour takes place in both languages in the same van (Spanish and English).

In the van there is a cooler with ice to store the drinks you bring.
Have a good breakfast before leaving for the tour
Entrance fees to the pyramids can only be paid with Cash because there is not much signal in the area.

This is the first meeting point where we pick up travelers for this tour. Departure from here is punctual at 08:00 am (with a maximum tolerance time of 10 minutes). Later we go to the next meeting point which is the Santa Ana park and we finish at the third meeting point which is the Fiesta Americana hotel. Before leaving Mérida we stop at a store to buy water and snacks for the road. Once we have everyone on board and after making the stop at the store, we begin our journey to the first point of this incredible tour. The time to get to the archaeological zone of Uxmal is 1 hour and a half on the road.

Surprise yourself with the first stop in the archaeological area of Uxmal through a guided tour that will help us to know the secrets of this wonderful place, we will walk through structures that highlight the Puuc style of the area, as well as contain mysteries and legends. The visit is 2 hours with the guide in the archaeological area.

4.00Well organized from start to finish with clear communication before pick-up. Happy we got to stop at all 3 places our driver and tour guide were nice. We enjoyed the tours and details provided by our guide at Uxmal and Kabah - it was great they provided the tour in both English & Spanish. We felt very rushed at the chocolate stop - we didn’t get to see the chocolate making and many of the exhibits. Bus/van was uncomfortable in the back seats.

Anel is incredibly knowledgeable and engaging—she brings the history, context, and stories behind these archaeological sites to life. The food was excellent, and the weather was perfect for this type of adventure. One thing we really appreciate about Colibrí Tours is how well they design their day trips. Whether you’re looking for a quick outing or you only have a few days to explore, they make sure you get the most value for your time and money. Highly recommended! It’s quickly becoming a bi-weekly activity for my wife and me. A quick tip: bring cash, a hat, and comfortable shoes—you won’t regret it!

5.00The site at Uxmal Kabah is the best archeological site available through these tours. It is not as crowded as the other sites and you get plenty of time to explore on your own. The lunch is acceptable, not great culinary experience but we have to eat to continue the visits.

5.00Uxmal was an extremely appreciated visit. Beautiful site worth a visit. Kabah is a less preserved and smaller site but remains a beautiful activity in combination with Uxmal. As far as the chocolate museum is concerned, we could let go of this much less interesting activity. The guide (Pedro) and the driver (Emmanuel) made our outing very pleasant. Thank you!

1.00This was a joke and a scam of a tour. If you need someone to drive you from point A to point B for 10 hours then book this. If you want to learn anything historical about Uxmal this is NOT the tour. The guide had 0 knowledge about anything. Literally 0 things learned. No explanation about the ruins, nothing about the hieroglyphs. They also combine spanish speaking people with english speaking. It’s just a mess because the tour guide could barely speak english and you learn nothing.

4.00Uxmal was very enjoyable. Lunch was good, The Chocolate Museum was a total waste of time. If I did it over again I would have done the Uxmal and Cenotes trip.

4.00Tour can end at 1:30 . No need for the chocolate museum OR lunch. Wonderful guide and driver . Very informative and interesting
