Tour guide James was fantastic. The park is amazing. Definitely worth doing if you love nature. It's amazing to see the red wood trees up close.

The trip is about 45 mins drive from SF. The walk in the park is about 1.5h with magestic nature. It cna get a bit chilly in the woods so layer up. On the way back you stop at Sausalito for 30 mins which has a beautiful boardwalk. I would consider doing the ferry back to grab lunch in this little quaint town.

I had my tour with Lester, who was fantastic. He made the most of the weather - it was, unfortunately, raining, but he made lots of fun jokes about it and had ponchos handy for those of us who were unprepared. Do not cancel your tour if it rains, trust me. It was majestic experiencing the redwood trees in the rain, with no crowds.

I went on a free day after a work trip so travelled alone but met a few other friendly solo travellers. Our driver Patrick gave us so much information and was friendly and funny. He really worked hard to give us the best time. The weather wasn't great but once we were in the woods it didn't matter. In fact it was very peaceful listening to the rain while walking sheltered under the tree tops. I got the ferry back from Sausalito which is a good add on. The only thing I would change would be to have an extra 30 mins in the woods. It was a little too short.

We went to Muir Woods, Sausalito and ferry back. The overall experience was exceptional. Muir Woods is amazing . The ferry as well. The only thing keeping me from a 5 star rating is that our tour bus driver talked constantly. He is a wonderful delightful person but he did not need to talk all the time. It became too much after awhile. He also asked us not to talk so as not to distract him as he spoke. We were a smalll group of 10 so we all were pretty quiet anyway. There were many times I just wanted silence from the driver so I could take in the views. Other than that everything was perfection!
