On our Highland Lochs, Glens & Castles tour from Edinburgh we will take you to some of the best scenery Scotland has to offer. Majestic mountains tumble down to shimmering lochs and castles, while glens tell tragic tales of centuries gone by.
You will have the opportunity to visit a castle or two and we’ll also have the chance to get some photos of castle ruins. We visit the picturesque highland village of Luss which sits on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond with views to Ben Lomond, Scotland’s most southerly Munro.

Wow, we saw many, many fabulous sites on this tour with Gary S! It was an extremely long day and we are grateful we were able to see so much of the West Highlands with plenty of stops. In Inverary, we had a sit-down lunch at The George Hotel, which was wonderful (fresh caught diver scallops and langosintos from Loch Fyne). There is no way we would have been able to cover so much ground and see so many places without this guided tour - and Gary driving us around in a skillful and informative manner!

Spending the day with Ron was like having a pocket encyclopedia of the history of Scotland within reach for an entire day. He was incredibly knowledgeable, had a sweet taste in music and showed us all the best sights! I definitely downloaded his Scottish playlist so I can enjoy it when I head back home! We thoroughly enjoyed learning about and experiencing a few of Scotland’s treasures in our very comfortable van excursion. We took in expansive views, visited some amazing castles and fell in love with the incredible Loch Lomond. Another win with Viator recommended tours😊!

Our guided tour to the Scottish Highlands with Glens and Castles with fantastic! We saw at least 4 castles from afar, and stopped to see 3 close-up. For an additional fee, one could go inside 2 of these: Duone and Inverary. The first was an empty, stone shell inside but rooms and stairs were still delineated. The second was lavishly furnished, as the Duke & Duchess of Argyll still visit there at times. Gary S, our guide and driver, made the entire trip fun and informative. He had an engaging style, great sense of humor, and played both traditional and contemporary Scottish music by artists many will recognize. The Highlands were massive and a spectacular wonder of nature! I highly recommend this tour and Gary S as a guide!
