Great hike and exactly what I was looking for. Nice lunch with a Berber family and great guide named Mohammad who answered all of our questions in English

Myself and my 12 year old daughter did a day of trekking with Abdul latif. We had an amazing day walking through the villages and through the snowy mountains. Guide was very professional and we took plenty of breaks. Need a good level of fitness as lots of uphill walking but worth seeing all the views. Definitely book it!

We had an amazing day trip with this outfitter to the mountains around Ourika. We hiked through National Park area and also stopped in a small Berber Village. We had a very knowledgeable and personable tour guide who was top notch. We were staying in the Ourika Valley and he met us at our hotel. We ended the day with a fabulous meal in a Berber home. I highly recommend this tour company and their outstanding guides.

Not to be missed! Lahcen and his team make this a not to be forgotten trip in the mountains. You feel in safe hands here as you explore the beautiful scenary. Our guide Hamid was knowledgeable and fun. We had a tagine on top of the mountain pass with ravens flying overhead.

Personal highlight of the whole trip to Morocco. Hamid the guide was amazing, very welcoming and we learned a lot about the local cultures, the villages, the history of the local area and the Berber communities. Definitely highly recommend!

We stayed, we trekked, we pushed ourself, we ate, we cooked with Aunty, we made and drank tea, we met family, we learnt, we were welcomed, we fell in love with Morocco and the Birkin people. This didnt feel like a tourist catch this felt like staying within the village with lachen and his amazing family. I trust Lachen and the guides, chefs and of course the lovely Mules ( very well cared for) they looked after us very well, made it to the top of the world.

Having decided we wanted the challenge of climbing up and down Toukbal in a day we then had the challenge of finding a bespoke tour guide (as most places only advertise 1 day) I read many reviews and asked people in Imlil for recommendations. A few men offering guides in Imlil didn't seem too convinced we'd make it, however, after being recommended Lahcen, we went to meet him. I cannot recommend him enough. He was nothing but hospitable and was very positive about us making it to the top. He did not try to sell us unnecessary extras (eg making us buy extra tours/mules) and offered us a very fair price. He got us a guide for the following day, setting off at 4.30am. He even gave us recommendations for a practice walking route to test for altitude sickness. Our guide Mohammed was a great guide. He managed to get us both to the top and back even with the little walking experience one of us had. If you don't want to be ripped off and you want a reliable guide I can not recommend asking Lahcen for help enough.

My son and I went on this trek today. It’s an authentic trek through the mountains, far from anything touristy! You will be walking past the back doors of Berber houses made of mud and straw where if you are lucky you might see ladies hand weaving a rug as we did. Everyone you pass, be it a shepherd or village local will say hello! The most anyone will try and sell you is a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice at a summit, and you probably won’t have change small enough to pay for it! Our guide was amazing and did the whole 20k trek without water or food as it’s Ramadan. You will see herds of goats tackle the terrain far more adeptly than you, and hear their hilarious calls across the mountains. The views are simply stunning and if you have the same guide as us he will be able to explain the history of the Berber people and language. A few recommendations. Cover up and wear sun screen- you’ll burn quickly without realising, take plenty of water and jelly babies to keep you going unless you are a seasoned pro, and wear trail shoes or trekking boots. We stupidly wore trainers and were sliding all over the place. There is one long technical descent that would have been much more comfortable for us if we’d had the right shoes on! Fortunately our guide gave me his poles to use on this leg of the journey, but I ended up on my backside anyway. After this you’ll come across a man under a tree that has lunch ready for you. There will be a lot of food but resist the urge to pig out as you still have two more hours of your journey left. It’s about 6 hours of trekking at altitude, in the heat and quite challenging - not a tourist jolly. It’s a truly unmissable tour for anyone in to sports or trekking that wants to experience something authentic.
