We will pass by the former United States military base, once one of the largest and most important in Panama. While we won’t stop or tour the area, our guide will provide an informative overview of its significance. This base was the last to revert to Panama in December 1999. Today, it spans 120 hectares and is home to the City of Knowledge, a state project dedicated to fostering innovation in technology, science, and business.

My family and I booked this while we were vacating in Panama. Our tour guide was Ella. The tour was pretty okay, not super spectacular. Ella was great at the beginning but seemed to tone down and wasn’t really answering our follow up questions regarding some aspects of history and the current protest. There was a lot of dead space in conversation and it wasn’t the most organized. We did not get to see a ship at the canal and our street tour was eclipsed by a power outage. Plus we got rain towards the end. Might have just been an off day for Ella but I’d give it a 2/5.

My brother and I had a wonderful time on this tour. Carlos, our tour guide was very knowledgeable, spoke English well, and we easy to understand. The tour was as described on Viator site. We loved that we had a small group of people on the tour. Highly recommend.

Great experience. Below our guide was super attentive and informative. I learned a lot about the history of Panama up to the present. Old Panama city was stunning.
