Do it!!! Tickets are cheap but nothing about this felt cheap. I am so excited to recommend that Viator made me remove excessive ALL CAPS from this review lol. You're in luck if Peter is your guide. World's nicest guy and he even gets intel from safari dudes about can't-miss stuff, like lions trotting down the road and whatnot. We CAREENED across the park and caught a few minutes of lion watching and I think at one point we were so close I could have reached out and French braided his mane. (I did not, if you must know.) I went with acquaintances but wouldn't hesitate to go alone either. A French guy in our car came solo and seemed like he had as much fun as I did. Which was obviously a lot!!!

We did the safari on the day of our departure and booked at short notice. Hotel pickup worked out well. DA we were just outside the center, an Uber ordered by the provider picked us up. Drop-off at the airport was not possible, but with another included Uber back hotel went smoothly. Buying tickets at the gate and checking in took a good half an hour because very ineffectively organized by the park administration. You can also buy the ticket on the spot only via the website on your mobile phone (or in case of necessity via purely credit card terminal - no cash payment), so you can also make beforehand in the hotel. With the payment fees you get to 99.88 USD for two foreigners. So you don’t currently pay (whatever) the partially found entrance fee of $65 per person due to high season. Sightings are good and the winding paths make the park appear bigger than expected. A zoo feeling does not arise. Can be really recommended! The tour was conducted in a Toyota safari van with 7 people. ES there are no elephants in the park, but probably almost certainly a rhino sighting with a really impressive horn! The safari went exactly 3 hours (7:30-10:30), which was also a good fit due to the sightings. In total ES it took the 30 minute sales/cafe stop from 6 am to 12 pm including hotel transfer.

This quick group trip around the Nairobi National Park in a little bus with a stand up view gave us a fun, low budget introductory safari experience. Peter was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and able to show us a wide range of animals in a short time from rhino to giraffe, elephants to hippos, zebra to crocodile!

First, you will have to pay a separate entry fee of $46 usd to enter the park. We had to wait at the park close to an hour for other guests to arrive. Driver was knowledgeable and engaging but had to stop for about 20 minutes to assist another driver from his company whose vehicle was disabled.
