Great Sphinx
The Great Sphinx of Giza is a massive limestone statue located beside the Pyramids of Giza. It has the body of a lion and the head of a human, symbolizing strength and wisdom. Built around 2500 BCE, it is commonly believed to represent Pharaoh Khafre. It measures about 73 meters (240 ft) long and 20 meters (66 ft) high, making it the largest monolithic statue in the world. The Sphinx likely served as a guardian figure, protecting the pyramid complex. Its missing nose is often surrounded by myths, but historical evidence suggests it was damaged centuries ago by erosion or human action. Over time, the statue was repeatedly buried by sand and later excavated and restored. The Great Sphinx remains one of the most mysterious and iconic monuments of ancient Egypt.
The Pyramids Of Giza
The Pyramids of Giza are a group of ancient monumental tombs located near Cairo, Egypt, built around 2600–2500 BCE during the Old Kingdom. There are three main pyramids: Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops) – the largest, originally about 146 meters (481 ft) tall and the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World. Pyramid of Khafre – slightly smaller, appears taller because it sits on higher ground. Pyramid of Menkaure – the smallest of the three. They were built as royal tombs for pharaohs and aligned with remarkable astronomical precision. Construction involved millions of limestone blocks, moved using ramps, sleds, and coordinated labor—likely skilled workers, not slaves. The site also includes smaller pyramids, temples, causeways, and the Great Sphinx, which is believed to represent Pharaoh Khafre. They remain a powerful symbol of ancient Egyptian engineering, religion, and belief in the afterlife.

5.00Reem was our tour guide on a half day private visit to the pyramids, tombs and historical sites at Saqqara, Dashur and Memphis. She was at our hotel 15 minutes before our scheduled pickup time and kept in communication with us regularly via WhatsApp. She greeted us with a warm smile and immediately made us feel as if we were good friends for years. She spoke perfect English and along the route from our hotel to the pyramids she pointed out many significant historical buildings, monuments and neighborhoods. During the tour she was very knowledgeable about the historical significance of each site we visited. She had a wonderful personality and was extremely hospitable and courteous. On our way back to our hotel, she took us to a local neighborhood to sample the famous Egyptian falafel and natural juices which was quite an unexpected but pleasant treat. 5.00What an amazing experience! Both our driver and guide were very fixable and accommodating, especially with our toddler. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we felt as if we made a new friend. The sites were impressive and the whole experience felt very easy as we travelled from one place to another. They took care of everything, even letting us try local food in between stops. We would do this again in a heartbeat and hope to connect with our guide for coffee next time we are in Egypt. 10/10 would recommend

5.00We had an amazing time with Ibrahim. He is really friendly and kind. We visited saqqara, Dahshur and Memphis and had a very comfortable visit. He addressed all our curiosities especially since we were travelling with our 4 year old. Fully recommend to book this trip.

5.00We had a wonderful day in the company of our guide Ibrahim who was extremely knowledgeable and good company. We took the all inclusive option do there was no tickets to worry about. Our first stop was Saqqara and the step pyramid, the southern tomb and many tombs of nobles. Next was Dahshur and the red pyramid and the famous bent pyramid. From there we went to the Mit Rahina museum in Memphis where they have an absolutely massive statue of Ramesses II. The day was rounded off with an excellent buffet meal in a restaurant in Saqqara.

5.00Ibrahim guided us around for the tour and was very friendly and accommodating. He had knowledge of the history of the sites that we went to and made sure to explain it in a way that we could understand. He also considered the timing of the day and which sites to visit in order to avoid the most foot traffic.

I really enjoyed both the place itself and the organization of the tour: a comfortable car, and the guide was wonderful—very interesting in his storytelling, punctual, attentive, and considerate, with excellent English. I highly recommend visiting all three sites—Saqqara, Memphis, and Dahshur—it's far more interesting and enjoyable than visiting the Pyramids of Giza.
Great experience 100% recommended.

5.00The day before the visit we booked the tour. At the time Zuzu l(as a guide) contacted us to confirm time and place of collection. They were punctual in the collection and we made the tour without haste, answering all the questions and explaining all that we visited. The Zuzu (guide) made sure we were okay at all times.
