Alcazar de Toledo
The Alcázar of Toledo is a stone fortification located in the highest part of Toledo, Spain. Once used as a Roman palace in the 3rd century, it was restored under Charles I (Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor) and his son Philip II of Spain in the 1540s. In 1521, Hernán Cortés was received by Charles I at the Alcázar, following Cortes' conquest of the Aztecs. Most of the alcázar was rebuilt, or restored, between 1939 and 1957 after the Siege of the Alcázar of the Spanish Civil War.

5.00Tpur is in spanish and english. The bus you go in wont be the one you come back in. Use the bathroom at the tourist information before you head out. Enjoy!

3.00The ride to Toledo was great. The tour was ok as our very nice tour operator has to commit with the many other groups speaking very loud Spanish. Not her fault at all.

1.00This is the most disorganized company and tour group. We arrived at the meeting location 30 minutes in advanced. Neither the bus or the tour organizer had signs or a way for people to recognize them. They didn’t send messages or communicate at all. We along with another family ended up missing the tour and the company refused to issue a refund. DO NOT TAKA THIS TOUR.

1.00This was a terribly unorganized and poorly executed tour. From beginning to end this was a disaster. Instructions to the bus were incredibly unclear, the tour we had signed up for was an English group of 12 people. We were loaded onto a bus of 30+ people with a mix of English and Spanish. The “tour” if you can even call it that, was with the 30+ people and the guide spoke in both English and Spanish and was hard to follow. The actual tour told us very little about the city and lasted about 15-20 mins. It was a complete waste of a half of a day and a waste of money. The overall experience was terrible. The best part of the trip was getting on the bus - that was late in arriving -back to Madrid. I highly recommend AGAINST this trip. Don’t waste your time or money.

5.00Great tour led by a fantastic young man who has lived in Toledo his entire life. This unique town holds such genuine history. This is a very good use of half a day, particularly as a break from the crowd and noise of the city.
