Hello! this is Sungil-Choi running @Heojunoppa Many of the guests who join my tour already have a interest in herbs and Traditional Korean Medicine(TKM). However, since the world of herbs is vast and profound, it is difficult to cover everything in a single day. So I flexibly design each session to match the interests of every guest. The tour begins at 2:00 p.m. in my workshop. Here, you will see, touch, and experience around 40 of the most commonly used medicinal herbs in TKM. You will also have the chance to create your own personalized herbal tea by selecting ingredients that suit you. During this process, I will provide easy-to-understand explanations about the fundamental principles of Yin-Yang and the Five Elements. After enjoying your herbal tea and taking a short break, we will head to K-medi center. There, we will visit the TKM Museum, where I will guide you through the exhibits with detailed explanations. After the Museum, depending on your interests, you can also experience various optional activities such as acupuncture and moxibustion, shopping for herbs, outdoor foot baths. (note: after museum activity costs are not included in the tour fee.)

The costs for individual experiences after the museum visit
Outdoor foot bath: 6,000 KRW per tub (fits 2 people)
Meridian massage: 5,000 KRW per person
Moxibustion or acupuncture: approximately 50,000 KRW
Korean medicine clinic treatment: around 50,000 KRW without health insurance

5.00This was so interesting and fun! First the instructor welcomed us so hospitably, giving us complementary tea and porridge. The atmosphere was very relaxing. Making the tea and chatting was so fun and his presentation was short, sweet and insightful. And throughout the event he answered all the questions we had nicely. Then we got to go to a herbal medicinal museum, which was so cool! I learnt so much from this experience and all my friends agreed that we would share the lessons with our families. Would definitely recommend!

5.00Such an interesting class to learn about Asian herbs! You can touch, smell, and taste each one, then mix your own blend. The teacher is super friendly and shares a lot of knowledge. I loved that he also gave us plenty of trial packs to take home! 🌿

5.00I took Sungil’s one day class last year when I first arrived to Seoul as a solo traveler. He was so kind and knowledgeable and his class incorporates personalized elements that made it really special and enjoyable. I appreciated the different settings and experiences within the class - from touring the traditional Korean medicine museum to making personalized teas at his office and learning about how this traditional practice can be applied to our everyday lives. It was informative but also really fun. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Seoul! Thank you!!

5.00Great experience with Paul! He was very knowledgeable and I learned so much about early medicinal practices of Korea from him. I went with my mom back in June of 2024. I would highly recommend this tour to bilingual Korean Americans as it really does help to know the language to get a true understanding. Gained a new perspective on medicine and really appreciate that.
