  The pick-up worked well, even though we were picked up earlier than 5 o'clock. We then picked up the other participants in Marrakech - so far, so good. When we arrived at our launch site outside Marrakech, we had just seen our balloon taking off with a basket of people. This was just as the sun was rising and all the other balloons were taking off. It turned out that we were the second group to have breakfast first and then drive to the landed balloon to start our balloon flight. Naturally, the entire group of participants was disappointed and the many employees were refusing to take responsibility. The balloon ride itself was wonderful, even if it was later than the sunrise. I would recommend transparent and better communication to the company: offer 2 booking slots on Viator, the later one slightly cheaper than the first one. And simply explain transparently in the activity description how the different processes work. Then everyone will know and won't be disappointed on holiday because something doesn't go as planned.

  Do NOT book with this tour operator. Despite the experience clearly being marked as a “sunrise” hot air balloon, this was not the case. We were picked up from our hotel around 4:30am, having selected the pickup at 5am option. We then made several round trips to collect other people, which was understandable, who were all under the impression that this was a sunrise hot air balloon ride. When we finally arrive to the destination (around 6:30am, sunrise started at 6:22am) we were met with the sight of the our balloon going up with another group of people onboard. Only at this point we were informed that our flight would be *next*, meaning we had missed the sunrise. When we tried to complain and discuss with the staff, they seemed very uninterested and said they could do nothing. Viator also completely unhelpful in this situation. A nice surprise experience for me and my wife completely ruined and £200+ down the drain for an experience that did not live up to the expectation. Please book with another tour operator as it’s clear this one was greedy and mis-sold the experience to fill up a second flight.
