Eixample is the beating heart of Barcelona and home to a dazzling number of architectural gems – including many of Gaudi's masterpieces (the Sagrada Familia, Casa Batlló and La Pedrera are all to be found in the area).
Eixample is also, happily, home to some of the best food and drink establishments in Barcelona. Come join us us on a tour and taste the quality food for yourself!
In this 2 hour 45 min. lunch tour we’ll visit 2-3 carefully chosen establishments. You’ll have plenty to eat and drink but not so much that you can’t go on with your day (no siesta needed after it!). Our tour groups are small, meaning we can go to the kinds of restaurants and eateries the locals love... because they have the best food.
You will taste a wide variety of the highest quality Spanish and Catalan tapas dishes, accompanied by one of our friendly guides who can tell you all about the history and gastronomy of our gorgeous city!

We stroll along the very popular Passeig de Sant Joan, named "second best street in the world" by Time Out, and home to fashionable shops, homes and of course - restaurants!

5.00Lorea is the perfect guide —- knowledgeable, enthusiastic and fun! We had wonderful food at the three restaurants we visited. Learning about the dishes and the history of the surrounding neighborhood added to the enjoyment.

5.00A great experience! Lorea provided insights into traditions, culture and historical aspects to the food and drink selections. In addition, we visited places more oriented to local residents, and we would not have known about such unique places. I would highly recommend this tapas tour!

5.00This tapas walking lunch tour was excellent. We loved all 3 stops we made. We are a variety of foods and delicious wines. Noah our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and professional as well. He was engaging and we had a great time. Recommend this tour highly.

5.00Allison was a terrific guide to the food scene in Barcelona. We were taken in a small group of 4 to a couple of providores/restaurants to be informed. The conversations were pleasant and the wine flowed. This is a way of being a responsible tourist. Allison was able to provide tips on what to eat and where to go. My regret is that this was our last day in Barcelona/Spain. Try and do this early in your trip. Allison was even able to give us a tip about Florence where we were jetting off to the next day!

5.00As a retired chef, I am just a bit of a food critic. I pay attention to ingredients, taste and presentation. While visiting Barcelona, my party of six,discovered “The Barcelona Taste.” We booked a tour and it was a most memorable afternoon in one of Barcelona’s charming neighborhoods. Our guide, Noah, wined And dined us at some amazing local restaurants, some of which have been in business for decades. The dishes, we sampled were simple, but elegant, prepared with seasonal and local ingredients, combining flavors of sweet, salty, sour, and umami, And paired with a local wine. Noah was very informative and gave some history on all of the dishes, their origins and significance to the locals. We ended our afternoon feeling Pleasantly sated in mind, body, and soul. Thank you, Noah and The Barcelona Taste.

5.00Our host was the lovely Esther who is the Spanish version of Carrie Bradshaw with her adorable and colorful style. Our tour included my 11- and 14-year-old boys who loved Esther (a former teacher) from the start. My 11-year-old foodie ate EVERYTHING, and my teenager was brave and admittedly ate more meats than fish. Be sure to communicate with the tour ahead of time that your part includes children and ask for Esther! Each restaurant was not only delicious but also historical, quirky in a good way and a favorite among the locals (so you felt like you were in on the secret). Everyone knows Esther and are quick to accommodate her guests. We walked through beautiful streets of Eixample neighborhood, and she pointed about unique and historical points along the way. I would 100% take this walking food tour again (and take Esther up on the The Chef's Kitchen option she recommended). Can't wait to return to Barcelona now that we have so many great food recommendations from Esther!

My family enjoyed numerous mouthwatering tapas that didn't leave us feeling overly stuffed, striking the perfect balance between deliciousness and comfortable portion sizes. The carefully curated selection of wine and food showcased high-quality, locally representative dishes that were both authentic and delectable. Esther, our guide, was charming, knowledgeable, and genuine, adding depth to each dish with her enthusiastic explanation. 5.00We visited 3 different and amazing spots, and along the way, our lovely and knowledgeable tour guide Esther told us so many interesting things about Barcelona- culture, history, architecture, neighborhoods and events going on this weekend. She was very engaging and made sure everyone was having a good time.
