We suggest that to avoid traffic rush hours pick up early is better. if you go early like 7am or 7:15am or 7:30am or 7:45am then you can avoid traffic jam rush hours & you can see lots of places in mt Fuji.
It’s our suggestion but what time you tell us we will pick up that time.

Hiking season start in July, Aug, September mt Fuji 5th station entrance fees 2100¥ JPY per person cost. You can skip mt Fuji 5th station if you don’t want to go for hiking other locations you can see mt Fuji clear close view

The drivers were punctual and the vehicles were clean, which made for a comfortable and smooth experience. We visited all the places listed in our itinerary, plus an additional stop, which was a pleasant bonus. However, one aspect of the tour raised serious concerns. An extra person joined us who openly stated he was not affiliated with the company and was only brought along by a friend to “help out” as a tour guide. This individual shared inconsistent stories about his background—claiming at one point to be from South Africa with over 22 years of experience as a guide, which later changed to 15 years. Based on his fluent conversations with the drivers, who were Pakistani, and the way he communicated, my guess is that he was actually from Pakistan as well. He offered very little insight into the places we visited, instead focusing on personal anecdotes and excessive flattery directed toward our family. While his presence might have been well-intentioned, allowing an unofficial and unverified person to join the tour—especially with several children in the group—felt unsafe and unprofessional. Toward the end, he began sharing personal hardships and comments about how little the drivers were paid, none of which we asked for. Despite my advice not to give too much, my parents were moved by his story and gave him a $300 tip. Overall, while the official service was solid, the presence of this unofficial “guide” significantly detracted from our trust and comfort with the tour. I would urge the company to be more cautious about who they allow to accompany their guests.

This tour was a complete failure. The tour stated it was a guided tour to Mt. Fuji/Hakone and it was NOT. We were taken by a driver (not a guide) who had zero knowledge of the Japanese culture or and history whatsoever about where we were going and the meaning/significance of anything we saw. My family and I learned nothing. This was absolutely Viator’s responsibility to provide us and we lost a full day in Tokyo and lot of money. I have been using Viator for years in many destinations and have never experienced anything like this before. The driver was just sent by his boss to take us there so I blame him, his boss and Viator for all of this. Dissatisfied to another level I never knew existed.

The most disappointing and frustrating experience ever… - we booked and paid 80,000 yen for two in a private tour - we asked for English speaking tour. Our tour guide barely speaks English - our pick up time was changed numerous times and was two hours earlier than scheduled (we were informed 7am the same day of the trip) - instead of a minivan which was committed on the itinerary we got a Toyota Prius - our “tour guide” had limited to none knowledge about each site we visited and basically left us wandering around each spot the whole tour. - when asked why some of the scenic spots were not covered the response from the company was “they are too crowded so we had to skip”. - we ended up running 3 hours late (with 2 spots on the itinerary not visited) and missed our dinner commitment that evening. In summary, a complete disaster. Unless you are looking for a nightmare with your vacation do not use this travel agent.

Our experience with Rana was disappointing and not what we expected, especially given the company’s strong reputation. Rather than a knowledgeable tour guide, we had a driver who simply transported us between locations with minimal engagement. Rana did not guide us through any of the experiences. He stayed in the car while dropping us off at each location, which was not what we had hoped for. Even my 6-year-old remarked, “The guide doesn’t get out of the car and show us around like the man that did our tour in Tokyo yesterday. How are we supposed to know what we’re looking at?” The previous day, we had a fantastic experience with a guide who walked with us, answered questions, and made the tour engaging and educational. This was, unfortunately, a very different experience. During the entire tour, the only time Rana joined us was when we stopped for coffee at Starbucks. We bought him a coffee, and while he was kind and polite, he did not provide the guidance we were expecting. There was no effort to share insights about the sites, create a memorable experience, or even meet the minimum standard of a guided tour. Instead, we were left Googling to learn about the places we visited. This is not the experience we were promised. While I understand that every guide has a different style, I would have appreciated even a minimal level of engagement—walking with us briefly, providing a high-level overview of the locations, and say “If you have any questions, let me know; otherwise, I’ll wait in the car.” I would have been ok with that…. Unfortunately, this basic level of service was not provided. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I truly believe the company can improve by ensuring that guides meet a baseline standard of engagement. I’m confident that with some adjustments, future customers can have a much better experience. Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback.
