Union Square
The tour departs at 07:40 AM, 10:40 AM, or 01:40 PM (depending on the selected option) from Union Square or Fisherman’s Wharf (depending on your departure time). For the bike tour, you will start from Bay City Bike Store at 2661 Taylor St, San Francisco, CA 94133, where you'll receive your bike and begin your journey towards the bridge. Departing the heart of Union square, the coach makes its way to the Golden Gate Bridge. On your way to the Golden Gate Bridge, travelers will see: Union Square: Theatres, shopping, hotels.

3.00We had a lovely tour guide, George, who was extremely knowledgeable about the local areas and provided really interesting information and conversation. Muir woods is beautiful and would definitely recommend, though I really didn’t get the interest in Sausalito.

5.00Our Muir Woods trip was perfectly on schedule, had a pleasant, knowledgeable guide who was from Marin County and we rode in a large, air conditioned bus. This is likely the best option for a Muir Woods/Sausalito tour and I highly recommend!

5.00Danilo was a terrific driver and guide, sharing lots of interesting info. Very easy pick up location by Union Square despite Super Bowl chaos. Loved the short stop at the Golden Gate Bridge, and Muir Woods was incredibly beautiful, peaceful and comfortable to walk around on my own. Do NOT waste your money on the ferry option from Sausalito. I was told it came at least hourly, but when I was ready to leave, I would have had to wait over two hours for the ferry that is included in this purchase. Instead, I bought a ticket on a different ferry line that runs much more frequently. So I wasted the extra Trip Advisor cost plus had to buy an additional ticket. If you take the bus and decide you want to go home on the ferry, just buy yourself a ticket at the ferry dock when you’re ready to leave and save yourself $ and aggravation. Otherwise, it was a lovely outing.

4.00Easy to book and pick-up fine. It’s a bit of a whistle stop tour. 15-20 minutes at Golden Gate viewpoint. (As we’d done the BigBusTours the day before and got off here, then walked across the bridge and carried onto the next stop (about three miles), we didn’t mind). Muir Woods, 90 minutes. Enough to get a feel and plenty of photos but not long enough to do any of the longer hikes. We opted for the ferry back from Sausalito, so had time for lunch before a trip back across the bay. Drops off right next to Pier 39. Only downside was a very bendy road to the woods themselves. My wife felt very queasy by the time we arrived.

5.00Don was excellent. He gave us a lot of recommendations. Plus he was giving us descriptions, history and lots of knowledge on everything. We are usually the late ones going in the bus and still waited for us. The red wood trees are awesome. I enjoyed everything.
