Take part in a fun and easy activity in venues connected to real Olympic events! Get the background on what the Olympics were really about and find out more about how ancient Olympic athletes trained. You'll get to practice the discus, the javelin throw, the shot put and the long jump before you compete in a relay race in the world’s first modern Olympic Stadium!

This is a 2-hour, small-group activity for no more than 15 guests.

Panathenaic Stadium

The Panathenaic Stadium or Kallimarmaro is one of the main historic attractions of Athens, and it is the only stadium in the world built entirely of marble. It is the stadium where the first modern Olympic games were held for the first time in 1896.

Our trainer was great- very knowledgeable and obviously a great athlete. We had a really fun time and would recommend this to anyone who likes to be active.

This was a fantastic tour! Our family with children ages 11, 13, 17, and 19 plus four adults highly enjoyed the entire tour. It was so cool to see an original gymnasium in Athens while learning track and field games and watching the local children enjoy summer camp. We also enjoyed the quick tour of the original Olympic stadium and all of the interesting information about the history of the Olympics.

We loved this experience! We had our kids between the ages of 9 and 14 participate. We loved learning the history of the modern Olympics, learning the techniques of events we’ve never tried and running a lap around the historic stadium!
Gives the illusion that it’s at the stadium for the race and workout. It’s not!

We signed up and took our grandchildren. It was a lot of fun. The disappointment was that most of the activities were not at the stadium. Once we arrived at the stadium, we could not access the track because of an event for that evening. So it was not what we had hoped for. Our guide was enthusiastic and very pleasant.

We had a great time! We did this activity with our two teenage boys and they really enjoyed it. It was a good mix of being active and incorporating Olympic history. The two hours was the perfect amount of time. I would highly recommend doing this with a family.

This was so much fun! Evi was engaging and a fantastic source of energy. She also provided a wealth of history surrounding the Olympics and more. We enjoyed the games, getting to know others, and seeing the stadium.

Learning about the Evolution of the Olympic Games was fascinating, and I really appreciated hearing a story behind why those ancient athletes competed naked – it added a lot of context. The Panathenaic Stadium itself is absolutely breathtaking – completely made of marble, it's just stunning to see. As a runner, getting to actually track a lap on my Garmin watch there was a personal highlight that I'll never forget! Our guide and instructor were incredible, making the whole experience so much more engaging and enjoyable. We had an absolute blast competing as a group in different events like wrestling, javelin, discus, shotput, and long jump, finishing up with a really fun run inside the stadium. Everyone in our group participated and had a great time, which made it even better. Another huge highlight was being inside the stadium and seeing every single Olympic torch ever used, along with some seriously cool art. If you're looking for an unforgettable experience, this is definitely it!

This was so fun for our teenage grandson! Evi is a skillful, encouraging, experienced trainer and a wonderful, knowledgeable guide to the Olympic Games in Greece, both in ancient times and the re-birth in 1896 up to the present day. We had a private tour, which was a great value for the cost and was so effective in engaging our grandson’s interest in Greek history at the very start of our time in Athens. Highly recommend.

Well this was for my partner who loves sport and I have very little interest. She loved it. And I…loved it too. Even doing the discus, javelin, shotputt and running around a track (when I say ‘doing’ - and even ‘running’ - I do so loosely!). None of that was obligatory but I got on board the Olympic train and it was brilliant. Our guide Antonia was very kind and looked after us, taking into account my complete physical ineptitude. The history/information she shared was great too - it was a great first tour in Athens, thank you!
