The James Bond Island is perhaps one of the most famous sights in Southern Thailand. Ever since Roger Moore filmed on the island in the early 1970s, tourists have flocked to witness first-hand impressive rock formations and to re-live some of their favorite scenes amongst the beautiful back drop of Phang Nga Bay.

- Leave from your hotel in a comfortable minibus and take a scenic drive into Phang Nga valley.

- Visit one of the most famous cave temples in Phang Nga.

- Leave Phang Nga town with a traditional longtail boat and out through one of the largest native mangrove forests in Thailand.

- Cruise through the caves and beautiful limestone mountains that make up Phang Nga Bay.

- Stop for a walk and a swim at the famous James Bond Island.

- Take a stroll around the stilted fishing village and enjoy a delicious dinner overlooking the bay.

- Cruise back to the pier as the sun sets over the bay and return to your hotel.

Wat Suwan Kuha - Cave Temple

We had such a great time visiting the temple, observing the monkeys and especially cruising through the waters and jungles and caves around famed James Bond Island. Ching, our guide, was magnificent educating us about the area, the culture and the locals. Our driver Rak and captain Goong were professional and so kind. To see this part of the world for the first time was amazing — especially so with our new friends explaining everything and putting it in perspective!

Fantastic from start to finish. We felt very looked after by the guide and the driver. Nothing was too much trouble, water, cold towels, waterproof and happy to take photos of us without asking.

We would recommend this to anyone, despite the long drive there and the short stops on the spot. We had a nice little group, and our guide, ChingChing, was a cutie. She kept supplying us with water and Coke. In addition, she told about everything we drove past and answered all our questions. The boat trip to James Bond Island was more fun than the island itself; the souvenir saleswomen are very pushy and sometimes even aggressive. Bit of a shame. The food on Koh Paniyee was really delicious! Nice to see that a self-sufficient community has been created on this piece of sea. Tired but satisfied and full of impressions we went hotelward. It was a great day

Great day out. We chose the later start to avoid the busier morning at JB Island and to take in a sunset. Unfortunately a late tropical downpour put paid to any sunset but it made the boat journey back to the pier great fun. 😁 The journey out through the mangrove forest and the bay gave plenty of stunning photo opportunities, JB Island itself was actually underwhelming and a little busy but is actually only a small part of the trip. Aoom was our guide and she did a great job, she was well prepared with cold water for us and even had rain ponchos for the boat journey. The dinner was amazing, a full on banquet, fish, chicken, prawns, Tom yum soup, omelette.

Pretty to see but without more wonderful sugar pines in the sea but islands except the photo nothing else to do

Had an amazing full day. Starting later we missed the crowds. Both Pon ( Bon) the tour guide and the long boat driver went above and beyond, looking out for monkeys on the islands as we passed & highlighting different land marks and birds. James Bond Island was beautiful. The floating fishing village with its own floating football pitch was on my husbands list to see, and did not disappoint. The temple was amazing and we felt privileged to be blessed by a monk at the temple.

This was a fantastic tour to James Bond island, Panyee fishing village and the reclining Buddha cave. Kiwi, our guide, and Montree the driver were excellent throughout. Kiwi was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, she made the day even more enjoyable. We left the hotel early to avoid crowds and that was a great idea. Lunch at the fishing village was plentiful and tasty, we loved it. All in all it was a great day, we thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend Kiwi and Montree from Discovery Travel.

The tour was wonderfully organized, had a very dedicated guide. Very small group. James Bond was still very crowded but it was very quiet at dinner. Can we recommend

Top trip, starting from the clean, impeccable transfer bus (only for us - private tour) to the charming and very well informed tour guide CHING, who took care of everything! Longboat, JamesBond Island and also Panjee Island including walking tour and dinner there were very impressive. All in all, this 8 hour excursion (including shuttle from/to outrigger KhsoLak) was really highly recommended!
