Embark on a relaxing at sunset cruise along the Douro River with the most breathtaking views of the banks of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia.

Over two hours, you will have the opportunity to pass by several monuments and landmarks of both cities, aboard one of our 15-meter sailboats or catamarans (with capacity for 12, 16 or 18 people).

Note: The distribution of clients on the boats is done in random order, and no preference can be specified at the time of booking. We will not split groups.

For shared tours it is not allowed to bring any food/drinks from the outside. The crew will not permit your access to the tour.

In case you book a private experience we will charge a fee for external catering.

What To Expect

Douro River

During the tour, you will have the opportunity to visit the most emblematic areas of both cities, from the sea. Some of the iconic elements you will view are the Wine Caves, the Ouro Street, Clerics Church, the Rabelo Boats (used to carry the wine barrels from the north of the river) and also the Douro Estuary, a protected area with a lot of wildlife.

Douro Marina

Douro Marina opened to public in February 2012. Altogether, the work corresponded to an investment of 8.5 million euros, 2.5 million of which were allocated to floating equipment. The dock has the capacity to accommodate 300 vessels, up to 20 meters. The port has an area for boat repair and maintenance, shops, restaurants and some companies related to water sports.

Fantastic leisurely boat trip along the Douro to watch the sunset. Joseph and Joanne were very knowledgeable and spoke good English. They made the trip even more enjoyable.

Really enjoyed the sailing on the Douro. The only issue was there was a festival at Marina and we should have be notified to get there early, we nearly missed the trip as the taxi couldn’t get through and it was a 20 minute walk from where we were

We had an elegant and amazing way to experience Porto from the water. The ride was fantastic, and Juan & Jose were polite and friendly, making us feel welcome. The sailboat leaves from a beautiful marina with amenities like washrooms and a coffee shop. Although red wine isn't allowed on board, they offer d some nice white Porto. the boat itself is well-equipped with facilities, including washrooms. Jose was great, and the whole experience was lovely. We were also able to see dolphins

We had such a beautiful and relaxing evening on this cruise. Miguel was an incredible captain, warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the river and the region. The staff was just as lovely, attentive without being overbearing. The cruise felt like being on a private yacht thanks to the small group size, which made the experience feel intimate and special. I didn’t drink, but they offered great non-alcoholic options while others enjoyed port wine as the sun set over Porto. It was absolutely magical. One of the highlights was sailing out toward the mouth of the Douro River and the Atlantic Ocean near the charming Foz area. The views were stunning and the breeze off the water added to the relaxed vibe. The other guests added to the experience. We had fun and easy conversation throughout the ride, which made it all the more enjoyable. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something peaceful, scenic, and just the right amount of indulgent while in Porto.

We had a very enjoyable cruise that highlighted both Porto and Gaia, and it also included a short trip into the Atlantic Ocean. The staff was very pleasant. The excursion was easy to book. The dock was easy to locate. The boat was comfortable and safe. My wife and I highly recommend this experience.
