5.00My wife and I landed for our honeymoon on the 28th of October and arranged a transfer to our hotel in Kendwa with Zanspice Tours - Mohammed picked us up with some cold water bottles and did a great job of explaining the history of the island to entertain us. Little did we know that by the time we needed a transfer south, the internet would be shut down across the whole of Tanzania! Fortunately, as we had the Zanspice phone number, we were able to get into contact again, and Mohammed again drove us with Abdi down to Stone Town. The journey was comfortable and timely, and the conversation was so good we felt as though the time passed very quickly. We were subsequently able to arrange tours with Zanspice to see the Tangawizi spice farm, again driven by Mohammed and for a walking tour of Stone Town, guided by Yussuf. The Tangawizi farm was fascinating, and the fruit they gave us was some of the best I have ever had, particularly the dragonfruit (It is simply not this good in the UK!). Yussef was a fantastic guide who really knew his history, and did his best to take us to some interesting places that were out of the rain, particularly Zanzibar Coffee which has amazing staff. We subsequently arranged for a snorkling trip with the company for our last full day in Zanzibar, again guided by Yussef and Captain Ali. They took us to a phenomenal spot with an incredibly well-preserved reef, and the best part was that there were no other boats anywhere in sight, so we had the whole place to ourselves. Finally, Mohammed took us to the airport at the conclusion of our honeymoon on the 6th of November. What to say about these guys - all wonderful, helpful and friendly people who gave us good recommendations and conversation across all of our interactions. All of them made our time in Zanzibar special, and we are very grateful to all of them. Thank you!

5.00We booked our taxi transfer with Zanspice tours and were impressed with the communication over watsapp which provided us re-assurance. Our driver was waiting at the airport for us and drove us safely to our hotel in Nungwi. As we had a positive experience we then booked a stone town and prison island tour with our driver and again this was simple. We have had the best day today. Our tour guide was so welcoming, polite and attentive and we really enjoyed our day because of him. We have booked further trips for our holiday and are looking forward to them. Really recommend this company 😀
