We had an excellent tour with Rukube today! He’s super fun, knowledgeable & proud Tanzanian! We had a fantastic time at the fish market where we were able to interact with some of the local women while they cooked, learned a lot about the history & the culture, and were amazed by the Karikwo market area! Thank you Rukube! Highly recommend this tour!

Two hours visit we did not see pass. Rokube was an excellent guide speaking very distinctly and slowly as everything was in English. We climbed into a dala dala for the photo, then in a tuk tuk to stroll through the hustle and bustle of Kariokoo but also by car and on foot to the fish market. A very, very good time! I recommend ++

I was in Dar Es Salaam for less than 24 hours and this was the perfect experience do a quick tour of the city. I wouldn't have minded more walking around because you can only see so much from the tuk tuk, but it was a great experience nonetheless.

Our lady guide was very good showing all the relevant sites of interest. At the end of our tour she took us back to the ferry to Zanzibar, where we were staying, arranging a porter to whisk us through the maddening waiting crowds. Full marks to her. Dar Es Salaam was another story since l was last here in the sixties, It was once a jewel on the east coast of Africa. Now sadly, it has lost its allure being polluted, dirty and unkempt. It’s historical buildings from the Arab, German and British influences are in poor repair and the city littered with rubbish. Vehicle emission levels are so bad it makes me convinced that global warming is inevitable unless countries like Tanzania also play their part.

The city tour took me to various places in the city. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history and the places. The fish market and the Kariakoo market were particularly fascinating. Thank you.

Absolutely excellent tour with Rukube. He is super knowledgeable and customized the tour to my interests. I highly recommend this tour given his passion and his professionalism. It was a great way to spend a few hours in Daar!

We learned so much on this tour! Our guide was Rukube who really helped us understand the places that we visited and the history of Dar es Salaam and Tanzania in general. We took tuk tuks to get to each of the locations and walked around which was a unique experience. There was so much happening at both the markets that we visited but our tour guide always ensured that we felt safe and understood what was going on. Highly recommend especially for those with only a short time in the city.

One of the best tour guides I have had a tour with in Africa. Rukube Mohamed spoke interestingly from a historical, political, and cultural side. Definitely exceeded my expectations. Very interesting to see the structure and organizational side of the wet & dry fish markets.
