What To Expect

DMZ

Before we go into DMZ area and do ID Check, will look through 3 stops - Brdige of freedom, Mangbaedan Altar, Steam locomotive destroyed during Korean war in Imjingak Park. Imjingak was built in 1972 for the benefit of displaced North Koreans. It is at the end of National Road No. 1, which civilians can access.

Mangbaedan is an altar where North Korean refugees in the South hold ancestral rites on the two biggest national holidays to their parents and grandparents left behind in the North.

Really an amazing experience. Won was an excellent guide who knows how to get you to the right spots at the right times. Also very personable and knowledgeable about the history of Korea. I definitely recommend.

Sungin was an excellent guide and driver. The car was very comfortable and had all the amenities. Sungin was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions about the DMZ and South Korea in general. He was able to help us make the most efficient use of our time on an otherwise crowded day at the Imjingak Pyeonghwa Nuri Park. He provided us binoculars to see farther across the DMZ. His service was excellent and was more than willing to take pictures of our entire family at each of the stops. Having him as a personal tour guide really helped us make the most of our visit to the Imjingak Pyeonghwa Nuri Park.

Our Guide Marie made the tour extra special and wonderful. She knew when the attractions would have fewer crowds and lines so we spent less time waiting and more time where it mattered. We learned so much. It was a really meaningful experience.

We had a great day with Marie touring the DMZ. It gets very crowded there and having a private guide to help navigate was fantastic. She handled all the forms and tickets so all we had to do was show up and enjoy. The tour was very informative, communication was great, car was comfortable. Highly recommend!!
