At 8:00 am, meet your guide in your hotel lobby to start your day tour. Drive to the famous Mutianyu Great Wall, the best-preserved section of the Great Wall and less crowded than other sections. With your expert guide, embark on a moderate hike along the wall, stretching 2,300 feet (700 meters) with inclines reaching up to 460 feet (140 meters). You can choose to walk up to the top or take a cable car at your own expense. Enjoy picturesque views of the wall snaking through the mountains and learn about the tactical significance of watchtowers and fortification segments from your guide. The hike will take approximately two hours, depending on your pace.
On the way back to Beijing, pass by the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube, two iconic and celebrated architectural wonders in Beijing, China. The Bird's Nest, officially known as the National Stadium, is a colossal and innovative sports arena that took center stage during the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Its intricate steel lattice design, resembling a giant bird's nest, has earned it the nickname "Bird's Nest." This remarkable stadium has become an enduring symbol of China's modernity and its ability to host grand international events. Visitors can admire its unique architecture from the outside and occasionally attend events inside, enjoying a glimpse of China's sporting excellence. The Water Cube, officially called the National Aquatics Center, is an architectural gem renowned for its striking blue exterior, reminiscent of a cube of bubbles. It hosted swimming and diving competitions during the 2008 Olympics.

5.00Dean was the ideal guide. He answered all of our questions and was very patient with our family. He spoke great English and we felt very comfortable on the tour. Our driver was a doll, always smiling and a wonderful companion. The private car was very helpful. I recommend the toboggan from the wall!

5.00During my two weeks trip in China this tour was definitely the most inspiring. Our guide, Dean, was the most enthusiastic guide I have ever had. Passioned about his work, Beijing, the Great Wall, he offered us a wonderful day and tour. Plus, I contacted him on the same evening to help us find a good bar in Beijing, he answered immediately and even came to meet us and helped us find a taxi at the end of the evening!
So A for the guide.About the tour itself it was a pleasure climbing the Great Wall under the sun. Advise: prepare a lot of water! Going on an adventure in the wild part of the wall was a ton of fun but remains quit of a challenge if you're not a sport person.
The Olympic sites were interesting to see but added no big thing to the tour.
At the end of the day, a must do if you happen to visit Beijing. Once again: I highly recommend Dean as a Tour Guide!

5.00Our tour was fantastic! Kris was extremely knowledgeable of both the subject of the tour wall/Olympic sites/etc, but educated our group on the culture of China! We were impressed with both her storytelling style and personal accessibility. She was very easy to talk to and engaged us throughout the day.

5.00We visited China and used Viator to schedule a tour to The Great Wall in Beijing as well as 2 Olympic sites. Cris was our guide and she did an outstanding job. She communicated with us to confirm the details prior to the tour and phones is one she arrived the hotel to tell us she was there and how to identify her. In addition to the scheduled attractions Cris was also able to give us a kind of insider's view of the city and the country since she is a native Chinese. Her guidance along the Great Wall was fantastic because of her knowledge of its history. The tour included lunch at a nice restaurant. She adjusted the order to accommodate some food allergies but still got us a nice blend of local cuisine to enjoy. The tour with Cris was a wonderful experience which I would highly recommend!
