  Our experience with Michael was amazing! He made it so fun and educational, took the BEST pictures/videos and had a lot of knowledge that made our tour that much better. ¡Nuestra experiencia con Michael fue increíble! Hizo que todo fuera muy divertido y educativo, tomó las mejores fotos y videos, y su conocimiento hizo que nuestro tour fuera mucho mejor.

  Overall if was a pretty good experience. Our driver, Alex, was AMAZING!! He picked us up right on time and did an amazing job navigating the roads and answering any questions we had. Train ride was also wonderful...and all the staff was super helpful in answering any questions we had. The problem came when we arrived at Machu Pichu....the tour company gave us tickets for 6am entry and by their own schedule we didn't even arrive til 8:45am. Luckily, the guide who received us when we got off the train was able to still get us in....but it definitely was stressful thinking we might had made the 4 hour journey for nothing. But after we got in we really enjoyed our time...our guide, Catherine, was outstanding in explaining everything and making sure everyone in our group was keeping up okay. She also took some amazing photos for us! After Machu Pichu, we had the lunch that was included at Julian's....lunch was amazing and we had a great view of the river rapids. Note that lunch includes appetizers, entree, and dessert but you are responsible for paying for drinks. We then had a little time to spend in Aguas Calientes before boarding our return train. Alex, our driver was waiting for us and did an amazing job of getting us back to our hotel before 7pm.

  Very well organised tour, from the bus to train and meeting the tour guide in Machu Picchu. The entry to Machu Picchu was late however was able to get in a little later with no issues. The lunch was at a lovely restaurant and gave a 3 course meal which was lovely (recommend to get there early as they may run out of options). The tour guide was very helpful and even dropped off back at hotel after tour.

  Flawless complex trip made easy, van-train-bus-bus-train-van dome by the sencond, and the cultural guide excepcional great. I waited for 40 years to come back in Cuzco to visit Machu Picchu with my 25 year old daughter for finishing his Master Degree in College. The day was womderfull on middle July, very sunny and warm, allways taking care of us with stories and fully detail history on the site and sorroundings. The place was full of tourists but everything was fluent and easy, we will repeat other destinations with Viator and the great local partners in Cuzco Peru as Runas Trip local operator. Thank you !

• Very responsive, but disorganised

  The organisers were very responsive in the run up to the trip, which I appreciated. But they showed up early for the pick-up (that matters at 4am!), then we couldn’t find our guide at the top of the train, the woman who finally met us after we waited for a while and rang the organisers didn’t have our bus tickets. Then when we got to the entrance for Machu Picchu we finally found our guide and he didn’t have our tickets. It turns out when he got our tickets, they were booked for 6am when we were booked on a 6.40am train, so we had to fill out a form at the entrance to explain why we’d missed our start. The tour itself was great and the experience overall was fantastic. We did circuit 1, which had lovely views. But there was a lot of waiting around while we tried to find our guides or our tickets.
