As Great Wall is on the mountain top, so in order to let you speed up to the wall and see Great Wall as much as possible, we suggest you to use cable car instead of 40mins walk each way through mountain path. Save time & energy.

Mutianyu Great Wall

Pick you up in your beijing centre hotel, then drive to Mutianyu Great Wall directly. Once arrive at the The Mutianyu Great Wall, you’ll enjoy a less hurried experience and take time to marvel at this wondrous structure and the surrounding hillsides. Hiking up and down for about 3 hours at the various sections of the Wall, exploring the watch and beacon towers. Mutianyu is a bit more rugged and slightly less crowded than the more famous Badaling. Over 96% of Mutianyu is covered by trees and orchards, keeping the air fragrant with chestnut blossoms in the spring and fresh all year long. After Wall , you will return to your hotel.

Brilliant experience - we were picked up straight from our hotel and taken to the Wall. Got a great historical overview of Beijing and the walls. The wall itself was fantastic to see. Great bodily workout to walk on it. Our guide was personable and we enjoyed going to a Chinese restaurant afterwards. Would highly recommend.

Our driver was Lisa. She was phenomenal! We got picked up at our hotel and were in a very cozy and air-conditioned van which took us to the location. The drive was about 2 hours. When we got there, Lisa guided us to where we could ride the cable car (we had to pay that separately) and then she let us go on our own for about 1-2 hours. You can do it longer but it was hot so we opted personally for a shorter time. I then contacted Lisa when we returned to the same spot she dropped us and then she drive us back to our hotel. She was super friendly and such a great help getting us there and back for our time at the Great Wall! Not many people and the views were still stunning! I definitely recommend this tour!

We had a great tour with Cathy and would recommend. Timely hotel pick up. Cathy spoke perfect English. Nice driver, and car. 1.5hr transfer to the wall. It was July so busy with school Holidays! We queued for one hour to take the cable car and same for the toboggan down but it was all worth it! We chose to do the climbing section of the wall to tower 1, it was hot & hard but worth it. Cathy gave us plenty of time and was kind enough to help us with our other questions about the city.

Jack was an great guide! He made sure we were comfortable throughout the entire trip, with a smooth drive and plenty of refreshments along the way, even surprising us with a small gift at the end. Visiting the Great Wall was a surreal experience, I would highly recommend!
