One of the highlights of my trip to Seoul. Today I joined a cooking class with Chef Park, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of my visit. From the beginning, everything felt very well organized, professional, and thoughtfully prepared. What made this class truly special was not only learning how to cook Korean dishes, but also hearing the history, traditions, and cultural meaning behind each plate. It felt like discovering Korea through its food, not just following recipes. Chef Park is extremely knowledgeable and professional, yet he creates such a warm, relaxed, and comfortable atmosphere that you immediately feel welcome, even if you don’t cook often. The class flowed naturally, with learning, laughter, and a real connection to Korean culture. As someone who also teaches cooking classes, I genuinely appreciated the care, passion, and experience behind every detail. This is more than a cooking class, it’s a cultural experience I highly recommend to anyone visiting Seoul. It truly deserves to be very popular.

I wasn't expecting much but this was a lot of fun and I'm glad I did it while visiting Seoul. The person that taught the class was fun to talk to and was very informative. Highly recommend if you want a fun experience with food outside of a food tour.

My wife and I attended the Royal Seoul Cooking Class as part of our wedding anniversary celebration. Park helped make it very special. It was a small, intimate class, which made it very personalized and Park was able to give everyone as much help and attention as they needed. He is warm and friendly and professional. Park shared stories and information about cooking techniques and culture that added to the experience. I included a photo from the outside since there isn't signage other than the address. We were able to find it quite easily behind the Ibis Hotel. Give yourself time to explore the area where the cooking class is located as well.

This was a great experience that we did with our 3 children in their 20s. We all love food and to get in and see how to cook it yourself was brilliant fun. Park did an awesome job of giving us current and historical information about Korea and its cuisine, so interesting, but all up it was just great fun. And anyone can do it. I had just fractured my wrist so I was doing it one hand with a small amount of assistance and I enjoyed it as much as anyone. I wondered if we had spent a bit much on it but once I saw the quality of the food included and the work that went into the whole thing, I thought it was well worth it for the family. And a cracking lunch comes out of it!

Our family of 6 had an amazing cooking class experience led by Ricky. The menu featured authentic Korean dishes and the Hanok is a peaceful oasis in the heart of Seoul. The food was great, but the details about Korean food and culture from Ricky is what truly set this cooking class apart.

An excellent experience with Park - a fantastic host. Learnt new recipes and cooking ideas, as well as lots of different flavours and oils. An authentic time in a typical traditional Korean Hanok in a fabulous part of Seoul - thanks once again.

I enjoyed both cooking sessions at the Royal Seoul Cooking Class. Our cooking instructor, Park Gyeobmyeon, was lovely and a great instructor, incorporating history, and storytelling all into a wonderful cooking experience. The location of the cooking school offers its own charms and fascinating history. The combination offers a lovely culinary experience and one unique and enjoyable time in Seoul South Korea.
