I had booked Royal cooking class to learn something different about the Korean cuisine. Ricky was really good at explaning the history behind the dishes. We made a royal dish with mungbean and vegetables. We then made 4 other dishes. We learned the base sauce for many recepies. I would definitely recommend this cooking class, which also took place in an old Hanok Building.

The Royal Cooking Class was an amazing experience, and Park was an outstanding teacher. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the class both fun and easy to follow. His passion for Korean cuisine and culture really enhanced the experience, and he took the time to ensure everyone felt comfortable and involved. The class was well organized, the food was delicious, and I learned recipes I can use at home. I highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Korea—Park made it truly memorable!

It’s a lot of fun, educational cultural experience. Not to mention good food, good organization and friendliness. Also it helped that all the participants got along too. I’ll give it an A+.

This takes place in a small Hanok near Iksandeong. You arrive and take off your shoes. Ricky who hosted the class is super friendly and knowledgeable. We make a few dishes but we sit down to eat after the first set and then again at the end. Class flies by and you dont realise when the time is done. You are also offered som Korean rice wine (makgeolli) to taste. The hanok is small, but oerfect size for the class of 6.

This is a wonderful way to experience Korean food and culture. Park was a congenial host and expert chef (and spoke excellent English). He carefully demonstrated the cooking techniques to our small group, explaining why each step was done, and then helped each of us to do the same. This fun learning experience resulted in a delicious meal. Our easy conversation with Park gave us a personal view of Korean culture as he told us about himself and his family.
