Kwangjang Market
From sipping on the iconic Makgeolli (Korean rice wine) to savoring the delightful Jeon (savory pancakes), every moment spent here offers an extraordinary gastronomic adventure. If you're a daring foodie, try the live octopus, a standout dish famously featured in the movie "Old Boy". Its unique texture and fresh taste create a culinary experience that is both exciting and memorable. Tasting the live octopus offered at the market is a personal choice. And there's more. Get ready to taste four special types of traditional Korean street food, each one a crowd-pleaser at Gwangjang Market. These are not your typical fast food; each dish has a story, every bite is a piece of Korean culture. No visit to Gwangjang Market is complete without trying the popular Kkwabaegi (twisted Korean donuts). These sweet treats are so popular that people line up to get their hands on them. But with our insider tips, you can skip the line and dive straight into this sweet indulgence.

We had such a great time! I’ve never been on a tour with so many different activities. The Palace at night is beautiful then we got to see an incredible light show over the pond. On to a very bustling night market for dinner and tried many traditional Korean favorites. The night ended with a walk through a beautiful colorful temple. Our guide was very fun which made the night even more memorable!

It’s nice to see a palace and temple at night with all the lighting. I loved the food market. It’s all very delicious and definitely the highlight. In the evening the food market is less crowded. Lia is a great guide.
