5.00We had a lovely time with Rui! Very prompt pickup at the hotel and was very informational during our tour where we were able to tour sites in Sintra before taking us to a beautiful beach side lunch spot before the winery. We loved the unique wines and the staff was very friendly and informational. I would definitely recommend this tour to a couple or small group of friends to avoid the crowds and have a tailored experience.
Off the beaten path experiences, very knowledgeable, great sense of humor. Outstanding tour that we really enjoyed. 👍

From the historical opulence of Mafra Palace to the laid-back charm of Ericeira, the dramatic cliffs at Cabo da Roca, and the coastal elegance of Cascais – Rui's knowledge and enthusiasm added a whole new layer to each destination. 5.00From the moment we met Rui in Lisbon and saw our ride for the day - a Mercedes convertible in impeccable condition - we knew we were in for a special experience. Rui's professionalism, deep knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm for sharing Portugal's treasures set the tone for an unforgettable day. Our journey to Sintra was fabulous, especially as we cruised in style in the comfortable convertible. Rui brought us to the Palácio e Parque Biester, where we explored its impressive palace and gardens. The beauty of these well-kept secrets, away from the usual tourist tracks, was extraordinary. Rui's attentiveness to our interests was remarkable. He not only answered all our questions but also anticipated our needs. When lunchtime approached, Rui asked about our preferences and upon hearing our desire for authentic Portuguese cuisine, he reserved a table at a local gem. The food was, indeed, delicious - a highlight of our trip - cod, grilled octopus, prosciutto, fresh baked bread and cheese. The wine tour was also excellent. Love Portuguese wine! Throughout the day, Rui surprised us with numerous stops, each revealing another layer of Portugal's culture and history. His blended fun, education, and adventure. Traveling in the Mercedes convertible with Rui, my adult daughter and I - just the 3 of us - was personal and fun, making it even more memorable. We cannot recommend Rui enough. He's not just a tour guide; he's a storyteller, a local expert, and now, a friend. If you're planning a trip from Lisbon to Sintra, do yourself a favor and book a tour with Rui. You'll leave with beautiful memories, just like we did, and a newfound appreciation for Portugal.

5.00Fantastic tour of the Lisbon countryside which included castles, palaces, wine tours and tastings, seaside, beaches… Rui is a pleasure to around and knows the history of the regions and the culture. He is professional, courteous, entertaining and he had excellent recommendations for lunch. And long lines with Rui. You go at your speed. We invited Ri to join us for lunch which was nice because he knows the restaurants, the menus and the cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed the car, the tour and our time with Rui. We ended up booking a second tour. Best days of our trip to Lisbon. Thank you Rui.

5.00Rui was amazing and knew so much about his country besides the history. Where the plants and flowers came from, best place to get pastries in Sintra. Along with that he knew of an off the beaten path winery and boy that tour did not dissapoint 🍷

5.00The trip exceeded our expectations! The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took us to beautiful places we would not have known to explore on our own. We got to see the beautiful mountain area all the way to the coast while stopping for amazing wine and food on the way. A fantastic way to explore the country and I highly recommend!

5.00We had an incredible day with Rui doing the convertible tour through Sintra and Cascais. He was a wealth of knowledge on the region and so easy to talk to. He brought us to a little known palace, right in the heart of Sintra, with spectacular views and literally not a single other group there. The highlight for us, really, was the drive along the coast, in the open air convertible, stopping at beautiful coastlines along the way, ending with lunch and time in Cascais. By far our favorite day in Lisbon.

5.00We had a fantastic tour in Sintra and Cascais. Our guide, Rui, has deep knowledge of the area and a lot of passion. Rui was able to take us places outside of the reach of the main tourist sites, giving us a unique experience. He adapted the tour based on our desires (just enough history, set up a great lunch, gave us enough time for shopping). Overall we had a fabulous and memorable day and I highly recommend this tour.
