5.00Chris was AMAZING! Having a private tour was the best thing we could’ve done. The only thing better was having Chris as our guide. He asked us questions to get to know us and what we were looking for and have done on our vacation so far, and then catered the tour to us. He gave us insight into Scottish history, culture, food, and drinks. He took us to 3 unique restaurants where we got to try local food and drinks and learn about why they are important to Scottish tradition. We even got a nice show of folk musicians at our final stop while having a “half n half”. This has been the best tour we have done! Highly recommend! Thanks again, Chris!

5.00We were a little skittish about sampling Scottish food and boy we were we off base! Our guide Chris, born and bred in Edinburgh, gave us a wonderful tasting experience, with haggis and Scotch pies figuring prominently in the menu. A walking, taste tour is a great way to learn about Edinburgh, past and present, and rounding out the tour with a whiskey tasting was a nice way to cap things off.

5.00Our guide Chris was outstanding. Really showed his love of his home town and what it has to offer. We ate a few local dishes we would have never discovered if not for him and finished the night at a great local pub listening to live music. Highly recommend this tour if you’re a first time visitor or want to be shown some local gems.

Disappointing rip-off

2.00Totally disappointed. Did not live up to the billing at all! We had three (3!) stops, only two of which had food. Our last stop was a small part of a cold pie from Greggs - if you're American think 7-11 - and broken candy from the guides bag. It started well at the first pub with suggested drinks and hot Scottish food, but was just wandering without food or drinks. We had to suggest the 2nd stop since it didn't appear to be planned in advance at all. Our guide was super pleasant and tried his best but needed an itinerary. In the end, I felt completely ripped off. Eating a cold pie on a bench outside was NOT what I paid this much money for.
