Malika is deeply versed in NOLA history and her tours are researched, engaging, informative and historically accurate - not your run of the mill NOLA ghost tour. This is my third tour covering various topics with Malika and I highly recommend you check out her tours. I’ve learned so much more about NOLA from Malika, helping me love this fascinating city even more.

5.00What can I say about Malika? All superlatives — she weaves a tale of New Orleans like it was a magic spell. This is history you cannot get with a generic tour group. She dives deep and she delivers the details everyone who travels this city’s streets should know — the terrors, the humor and the bawdiness the city was built on. (She gives a trigger warning for the more difficult aspects of the narrative). I totally admire how much history she was able to pack into the tour time, even with fielding our questions. You want ghost tales? Malika also serves them up; with a side of bonafide images to boot. I will recommend time with Malika to anyone I know who is headed to NOLA. Don’t miss this tour!

5.00If you're looking for an authentic ghost tour this is the one! Our guide Malika was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I wish we had more time to take the other tours offered by Anansi's Daughters. We started and ended at some of the most popular sites, but also got off the beaten path. A great tour for believers, skeptics, history buffs, and fans of sexy vampires!

5.00The tour was exactly what my family was looking for - meaningful, powerful and full of heart. Rhodesia is an incredible storyteller and multi-generational New Orleanian who uplifted the stories of black women and men in particular with knowledge, respect and passion. We learned so much! As one of the few black-owned companies, it felt personal, smaller and more intimate. The history felt real and alive - not gimmicky. Even the ghost stories felt meaningful - not sensationalized, but grounded in real lives and legacies. If you're looking for the real New Orleans, this is it. You'll be glad you did.

5.00This was a such a wonderful tour. I've been living in NOLA for 9 years and never partook - I'm so glad I finally did and even happier that I chose Anansi's Daughter. Malika was my tour guide. She was kind, pleasant and knowledgeable. I left with a notebook filled with information. I plan on experiencing the full roster of their tours.

5.00I highly recommend Anansi’s Daughters tour. Malika is an excellent tour guide and was knowledgeable. I’ve been to New Orleans many times and I learned new information on this tour. I took the Blackest Ghost Tour and we were the true stories not the sanitized versions offered on the other tours. I will definitely book another of their tours, when I visit again. The one negative is that I wish it was longer. The tour was 90 minutes, which is perfect for most people especially considering in the warm weather.

5.00This trip was the perfect way to conclude our trip to NOLA! We attended the tour with Malika who was extremely well informed, great at making connections with teachings from different communities, and accommodating of our needs. We ended up missing our original tour time and she went the extra mile of meeting us when we were available! Cannot speak enough about how nice it was to hear about the history of the area and learn how it played apart in making New Orleans what we see it as today. Thanks again for making my boyfriends bday trip end with a bang!
