Most tourists spend their time having bites at the touristy market of San Lorenzo. We take travelers to the real Florentine food market of Sant'Ambrogio, where locals have their daily shopping and fill up their bellies with some tasty and sometimes challenging bites!
Your guide will explain seasonal recipes and give you insights into locals' daily life.
You will have the chance to try food unavailable in restaurants and often not even mentioned in guidebooks. We offer whatever is local, seasonal and traditional. No tourist traps of any kind!

5.00A Highlight of Our Time in Florence! Absolutely loved our Streaty Food Tour! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging — we learned so much while tasting amazing local food. It felt like the perfect blend of history, culture, and fun. The whole team clearly knows their city inside and out. Booking was super easy, and the staff were so kind and responsive — a real pleasure to work with. We came from Canada, and this was one of the best experiences of our trip. If you want to explore Florence like a local and eat your way through its hidden gems, this tour is a must! 🍝🍷🇮🇹

1.00Absolutely horrible! There were 4 of us in the group and none of us could find the tour guide, took forever. The food choices were disgusting and I am not picky. I travel lots and love doing food tours and this was the worst tour by far I have ever had. We waited 30 minutes for her to get us food at the first stop. None of us could hear her so we didn’t learn anything about the food. We passed some food that actually looked yummy and she said this is very good you have to try this some time which was weird. If it’s very good why didn’t she have us try it? The tour ended an hour earlier than it was supposed to. I don’t think the guide was their normal guide. She had a name badge and it wasn’t her on the picture. I honestly could have given a better food tour. How can you even pick gross food on an Italian food tour? Italy has amazing food! We didn’t eat any pasta and cannolis or anything you would expect. And we hardly had any tastings. We were so bummed we wasted our day and it’s not easy driving in to Florence. Tons of traffic.

5.00Giulia was amazing and so much fun!! Her knowledge of Florence and the culture was very interesting and you could see she lives what she does. We would certainly do another tour with her and would recommend her to anyone!!

5.00We were a small group of 6 and our guide Gulia was fantastic! She was full of information and the sweetest. We experienced authentic food in Florence and of course…wine 😊 We enjoyed this tour and our group so much and was one of our favorite things we experienced in Florence!! Highly recommend

5.00This was a fantastic food tour. Alice really showed us a little bit of what it was like to live and eat in Florence just like Fiorentini. The market, the different bites from known to unique and of course the best Gelato in Florence ;)... Truly enjoyed it.

5.00Second Streaty tour we have booked (first one in Palermo). Tina was a great tour guide, very informative and passionate about the local food. Good selection and plenty of food and wine throughout. Would highly recommend when in Florence to get a good idea of the local cuisine - even the lampredotto!!

5.00This was one of our favorite outings in Italy. I travelled with my mom (70) and my two adult brothers, one of whom is a chef. All four of us loved learning from Alice. She was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and fun to talk to. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour for anyone curious about the traditional foods of Florence.

5.00We had a wonderful time. Learned so much about the city, buildings, people throughout the centuries and the food was phenomenal. I cannot say enough about our tour guide Viola, she was so nice and accommodating and very knowledgable. I highly recommend. .
