We have been asked by a number of guests to organize and plan special events such as marriage proposals in the past. Instead of only planning the marriage proposals/ engagements when it is requested of us, we thought it would be great to offer this to guests so they know this is an option. This is very unique since there are many picturesque locations in Japan and many people want a special environment and moment to pop the question to their significant other. This is a very memorable experience for inbound tourists that want a special and stress-free proposal.

Although this is a private tour, the events coordinator will only wait for you for up to 45 minutes of start time before the tour is cancelled

If your cancellation falls within the fees applied to the Standard Cancellation Policy, the service fee of 15% will no longer take effect. You will only be responsible for the cancellation fee specified in the Standard Cancellation Policy. Please carefully review the terms and conditions specified on the checkout page.

Guests are provided with the events coordinator’ phone number before the tour and you can call the events coordinator if you need help.

We ask that all guests arrive at the location at least 10 minutes before the designated meet-up time

Please make bookings at least two months prior to the proposal date so we have enough time to plan

Once the itinerary is arranged with the event coordinator, this booking cannot be refunded.

Strict Cancellation Policy:

We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 45 days or less before event

This customizable proposal event will include a specialized event coordinator in Tokyo who will work with you on organizing the perfect surprise proposal. Based on your interests and preferences, our proposal experts will create personalized proposal ideas and will work closely with you to finalize the ideal proposal for you and your partner. Our proposal experts will scout the locations, make arrangements, book the vendors and venues, and all you have to do is show up on the date and time of the proposal! This package will include the customized itinerary and plans for the proposal, an events coordinator that will be present during the proposal, a photographer who will capture the special moment, and a bouquet of flowers that will be ready for your partner at the location. Optional add-on options, admission tickets, restaurant bookings, etc. are available at an additional cost when requested during the planning process.

Vicky and Regina did an amazing job helping my entire proposal go smoothly, from selecting a beautiful location to planning out the entire process. Would’ve been extremely stressful for me to try to do it alone. Very happy with how everything turned out, including the beautiful pictures from Israel.

I used this service to help plan my proposal beginning around May of 2025 for a trip in October of 2025. The team was amazing to work with, they were incredibly helpful and insightful. They took ideas I had and helped make them a reality with their knowledge and experience of Tokyo. Maybe a month before, the original location we had planned had to cancel our booking, but they found an even more beautiful and romantic setting for the proposal. They are very talented and have a great eye for building a beautiful scene. One thing I really wanted was a private location to propose that still had a scenic view - a difficult task for such a busy city as Tokyo - but it was no problem for them! It was as if we were the only ones in the city at that moment. I would recommend! They are amazing and a pleasure to work with.

I can only say thank you a thousand times. The team from Japan Awaits simply made the engagement to an great event. Everything worked out perfectly and I am overjoyed. I come from Germany and the 9000 kilometers were no obstacle to plan a breathtaking day with the help of the team. At first glance it sounds a bit exaggerated "breathtaking, extraordinary" but it was. The photographer / videographer was simply top. He captured the moments perfectly so that we could share everything with our loved ones at home. One or two tears were shed there. From the preliminary talk (first a questionnaire, then an interview and afterwards a lot of email correspondence) everything worked really well and my specific wishes were taken into account. Proposal coordination was well done and team (lead by Vicky-san) were very receptive to my ideas and they executed them as planned. The event coordinators, videographer and tour guide were very professional and highly competent. They also proactively refunded a portion of costs after a particular element was not incorporated, thus I did not have to ask for it.
