Our Super Rafts, Kauai Voyager 1 and 2 are perfectly suited for whale watching with great comfort including a full restroom, unobstructed views, and speed to bring us to the whales. We also utilize a hydrophone to listen to the whale song and have very friendly and knowledgeable captains and crew.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Minimum age is 4 years, and all minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
Emergency life jackets onboard; standard life jackets are for children only.
No refunds for late arrivals or undisclosed health concerns.
Guests with back, neck, or heart issues are not permitted to join this experience.
No recent surgeries that may be affected by jarring, bouncing, or high-impact activity.
Expectant mothers cannot participate.
Guests with a history of seizure are not permitted to join this experience.
Guests must be fit to walk 200 yards to and from the boat.

Our whale watching tours are fast, fun, and fully open-air, giving you awesome 360° views of Kauaʻi’s winter visitors. Conditions change daily — some calm, some a little bumpy — but our super rafts are built for adventure and our captains know where to look for breaching, tail-slapping, and cruising humpbacks. We also use hydrophones when conditions allow, giving you the rare chance to hear their beautiful underwater songs. Expect sun, sea spray, and fresh ocean air, so come dressed comfortably. Whale behavior and ocean conditions vary, but we adjust to the day’s conditions to give you the best experience possible while respecting all wildlife guidelines.

5.00Captain Ryan and Kanon led us on a gorgeous morning’s high-speed tour out into the channel between Kaua’i and Ni’ihau. Once there, we quietly cruised, on the lookout for ‘blows’. We weren’t disappointed. Up to ten whales, 2 or 3 of them less than 20 m away. One parked under the boat for a few minutes. The boat has comfortable seating with great all-round visibility. Ryan and Kanon delivered an excellent mix of information and banter. Plus great music - not something I would usually appreciate on a wildlife tour. But it worked! Marvin Gay seems popular with whales – who knew?

5.00We had the best time whale watching! Everything went well from check-in, to being on the boat and making it back to dock. We saw humpback whales and spinner dolphins! We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to see whales and dolphins in a beautiful area of the island!

5.00Great experience. We were lucky and saw whales and dolphins, not just within the first ten minutes our excursion, but pretty much non stop until it was time to head back to shore. Capt. CJ and Canon were friendly and informative. Boat was very comfortable. Definitely would recommend.

5.00Amazing! We saw dolphins and whales within the first 30 mins. We saw a full breach and a bunch of tail - it was mesmerizing! Highly recommend.

5.00We absolutely enjoyed our whale watching experience. Captain Andrew put us on whales immediately and was able to chase down many and get close for great pictures. His first mate informed us about the humpback whales lives and habits. As time was running down Captain Andrew gave us a few extra minutes on the boat to track down that last whale. The crew was also very helpful assisting us and others on and off the boat.

5.00We had Capt. Andy and Matthew. They put us at ease right away with their knowledge and humor. Although whale watching is never a guarantee, we saw so many amazing whale sights! The water was beautiful and calm so that enhanced the wonderful experience. One thing I was really impressed with was how they handled one passenger who had a bit of seasickness. They helped the passenger without missing a beat and didn't embarrass or tease the passenger. We were able to sit by the crew so we had a first-hand experience watching them work which my kids found very cool. It was one of our top experiences from our week in Kauai, would absolutely recommend!

5.00We had a amazing whale watching tour on New Year's Eve day with Captain Andrew and Max! We saw so much whale activity, and the crew members were personable and knowledgeable about Kauai and marine life. I would recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Kauai, one of the best whale watching trips I've done. I also recommend to read the "what to expect" section and check out the photos when booking; my husband and I had a great time, but this is not slow harbor cruise, it's a smaller boat built for speed and viewing (and having fun!). Mahalo Captain Andrew and Max for an unforgettable experience!
