4.00Had difficulty locating the meeting point, so did many other travellers. Wrong information from working people on quay. Uber driver didn’t know where it was. Hardly any commentary, this would have been helpful, knowing where things were.

2.00The photo showed a golden sunset. I now realize it didn't show the boat. We found the specific dock with a little bit of difficulty and were told to climb up to the roof deck of another boat to wait. We waited long after the 7 pm start time, wondering where the boat was. Finally the boat arrived. We were surprised. The boat turned out to be a small open speedboat for about 14 people, not a larger boat that the word cruise implies. There were no tables and drinks as I had imaginedfor our last evening in Montreal. The Captain/ guide, Alex, was 20 minutes late on a one hour ride. His apology was "My bad." Then he had to speed out to the first vantage point, bouncing us along. The poor girl in the front at her bachelorette party was clinging to her little veil for dear life. The actual information about the bridges was very interesting but the return in the dark was depressing. It was a funny little ride which would have been OK if it had not been called a "sunset cruise."

5.00Spectacular other-worldly sunlit clouds over Montreal! What a lovely experience with a small group, learning some history and taking in this glorious city while speeding along the St. Lawrence! Even the cormorants gathered to take in the unbelievable sky…
