• An amazing tour!

  We did this as a private tour and we had an amazing knowledgable guide in Bob. In the morning we visited The Summer Palace which was beautiful and Bob knew his stuff as well as all the good angles to take photos from. We stopped off for lunch en route to the Mutianyu part of the Great Wall which again was at one of these places attached to shopping and in this case it was jade outlet. Having said that we were very impressed with the master carver and proceeded to purchase a jade family generational ball and 2 puxie dragons which were not cheap but its one of those purchases we wont ever make again! The food was ok a buffet mixture of chinese and international. I think when doing a private tour again we would speak up and discuss the place we would prefer to eat at as this is also an experience as to why we came to Beijing. In the afternoon we arrived at the Wall and this was truly an amazing experience. Would highly recommend going up in the ski lift as long as the weather is good and coming down in the toboggan which was a thrill ride!

  Kevin was a great tour guide. We started the day being picked up. It was just my friend and I and Kevin and the driver. So a very private tour which was great. We went to the palace. He gave us enough information and time to take photos. He gave us some options on what we wanted to do. Then we had a lovely lunch and then to the great wall. Again Kevin gave us some facts and let us have a wonder by ourselves too.

  Thank you Jonny and GeShifu for the fun day to Mutianyu and Summer Palace! They were very knowledgeable and friendly, and didn't rush us at all. We enjoyed our day with them and will highly recommend this experience.

  Great way to see the great wall and summer palace. Our guide was terrific in giving us a tour of the wall and then giving us time to roam around on our own. The guide's English was very good and explanations very interesting. Highly recommend the tour.

  We booked this last minute and couldn't have been more delighted! The reply was super quick and Sherry and our driver were fantastic. Sherry checked in with us the evening before to ensure we were prepared for our trip and the timings. She met us promptly the next morning and happily gave us information about China's history on the drive to the Wall so we could fully understand what we were going to see, all the while pointing out landmarks as well. She took us up to the Wall, explained the different options and histories and then left us alone to wander at leisure for about 2 hours. We then met for lunch and drove back to the Summer Palace. Again at the Summer Palace Sherry was invaluable. She managed to take us on a route that avoided most of the coach tour groups whilst still taking us to the landmarks and telling us all about it. Having the driver was great because he was able to drive around to meet us at the other side of the palace so after we'd toured through we didn't have to try and walk all the way back through the crowds. Highly recommend!
