  Loved this experience. My thanks to Michael, Jonathan, Chaell, and the photographer. Super nice van. Peaceful trail. Solid safety precautions. Gorgeous rock formations and refreshing water after a hot walk up. Delicious meal. Interesting cigar-rolling demo, and wine/chocolate/coffee tasting. Read complaints in other reviews about crowding but I saw people helping each other in the water and enjoying the adventure. Our vehicle had six people that melded loosely with other groups during the sliding/floating/jumping through the canyons. It was just fine. Pleasant to have a small group for driving and transitions. Easier to move 6-10 people between activities. It felt joyous and thrilling to share in the excitement of people being brave together. Beautiful memories 🍃 Photographer engaged everyone happily for pix. Be ready to purchase at the end if you'd like to take them home. Pricing today was $30 for one person, $80 for four in a group.

  Super fun day exploring the waterfalls of the Dominican Republic. Excellent excursion! Our only challenge was making our way outside the cruise port to find our guides. But the rest of the day was exceptional!

  There is a fairly long hike up to get to the falls but it is well worth it. The guides are all pleasant and encouraging. There are stops to rest. No one was ever severely winded and your heart rate won’t go up significantly—until you start sliding down the falls! There is an option to jump in at one point. I am over 70 years old and survived the jump with a big grin. Also a professional photographer was there to document the whole trip. Then off to an authentic Dominican lunch before visiting a family owned cigar establishment. Daniella, Jonathan, and William were fantastic guides, photographer and driver !!! Highly recommended

  It was a lot of fun. Our guide Danellia and her guys with her were great. We hiked up to the falls went through them which were awesome. We then went to a little local restaurant and ate local food and then to a little shop where they show you the cigar making process and can buy some cigars, jewelry, and such. We then did a quick tour through the town by the port and were dropped back off at the docks. The only difficult part was finding the pick up location. The way point was not where we were picked up. We had to go outside the cruise ship area to a pickup/drop off area where the taxis were.

  I booked this excursion as a cruise ship passenger, so note that times are local time which is likely one hour ahead of ship’s time! As a cruise ship passenger, you’ll need to navigate out of your cruise port area and kind of just meet the tour company along the side of the road (they had their company name on their shirt). Make sure you screenshot your ticket in case you have cell issues as they did ask to see it. We had to wait a bit at a bar before other tour passengers came to meet us, but note that they did drop us off first at the end of the tour and got us as close to the cruise port gate as they could to reduce our walk back to the ship. The waterfall portion is the grand draw and that was amazing! There is indeed a very long and uphill walk to get to the waterfalls, almost though I wouldn’t make it some times. At the waterfalls are local guides and they were wonderful with my brother and I who are nearly non-swimmers. Bring something to tip those guys! We were able to keep our extra items in the van, so we did not need to rent a locker. After the waterfalls, we had lunch at a local place that was surprisingly decent. There was rice, beans, pasta, fried chicken, and pork chops. Drinks included as well. It was a bit buggy, so I recommend bringing some bug spray as I got many bites! Following lunch was a shopping stop for chocolate, cigars, and liquors. This part wasn’t my thing. There is a paparazzi that follows your tour and sells you the photos and short videos for $50. They just copy them directly to your phone when you pay, so make sure you have storage if you want in on that. Some of the photos/videos were good, but some of them were unfortunately out of focus. I would recommend bringing your own phone in a waterproof pouch so you can get some of your own photos to supplement.

  Made the trip with the family, we all enjoyed the trip very much, Our tour guide Albert was great as well as all the staff. I recommend good watershoes with support as you will be walking/hiking through very rocky uneven terrain. We were provided bottled water upon arrival and had a delicious lunch. Highly recommend.

  Not for those with any disabilities, lower endurance. Great fun. Pack thick water shoes so the rocks hurt less. Also bring a towel and dry clothing so you don't ride home wet. Driver and guides were all very nice. Even folks who couldn't swim were all cared for in the water.

  It was amazing. Challenging on the hike to the top, but we all agreed it was well worth the travel. We are glad grandma and grandpa decided not to come, but the other 25 of us had an experience of a lifetime going down the rock slides and the waterfall jump. So fun! A must book for the adventurous crowd! The youngest in our group at 10 was scared, but by the time we were done, she got her brave on and wished she had jumped the waterfall instead of walking down. Fantastic adventure for all of us!

  The description of this excursion was not complete and information was not learned until we were at the site to begin the adventure. Had the information been accurate, we would not have booked this excursion. There were issues with this excursion from the beginning. The tour company never contacted us to confirm pick up time or location. On the evening prior to the excursion, I contacted them and was told that due to the fact that they did not have enough people for the 9 AM excursion, they were going to cancel it. (When were they going to advise me?) We did accommodate the company by agreeing to take the 10:30 AM excursion. We were picked up and transported to the falls by a local taxi who told us he would be waiting there for our return to the hotel. He also said that we would meet others in the group upon arrival. Upon arrival we realized there were no others in our group. We were met by a young lady who proceeded to outline all the rules and regulations that were never mentioned on the website. One was that there was no smoking on the site during the time there. As a smoker, I am respectful of others as well as designated smoking areas but if this was stated on the website, I would not have booked the tour. While the site said water shoes, I had rubber sandals (not flip flops) that I use on the beach and in the water which I was told is unacceptable. We would have to rent their water shoes. We also could not bring anything with us – no cell phones, towels, etc. We could leave our items in the car. (I assume we could have rented lockers because I saw a sign for “lockers”). Because of all these undivulged restrictions until we arrived and a few other rules, we decided to cancel the tour and asked the driver to return us to the hotel. The young lady contacted the company who advised that we should wait until someone came to the location to speak with us in person. Why would we have to wait? I asked the young lady to let me speak with the person on the phone. She refused. I told her that I understood that she did not want to let me use her personal phone so asked her to tell the individual to call me directly on my phone. The person refused to call me insisting that he would come there. When the driver was asked to kindly take us back to the hotel, he advised that he had been instructed not to do so. When I mentioned to everyone that I would be writing a review, the person from the office suddenly was willing to speak to me. However, the damage had been done and there was nothing to speak about. Being stranded, we found a taxi who was willing to drive us to the hotel at the cost of $50. for about a 20-minute ride. While in the taxi, I received an email refunding the cost of the excursion. I guess the company was concerned about the review. Later that day, I contacted the company requesting reimbursement for the taxi fee as they had left us stranded. They agreed and payment was sent. Full and complete information needs to be placed on the website so customers will know exactly what they are purchasing. The company needs to review their customer service and not just react because of the idea of possible negative reviews.
