This tour is a combination of two thrilling activities.

You day will begin being picked up by the ATV team, arrive at their base camp where you will be briefed and dressed warmly for a 1-Hour ATV Tour.

You will drive in the vicinity of the capital and venture through rugged trials and see the Icelandic nature, on this one hour atv tour you will ascend to Reykjavik Peak mountain, on the top you will see amazing view over the capital before you go back.

After the ATV tour you will be dropped off at the Helicopter Offices where explore Reykjavik from the sky. This quad bike and helicopter combo tour is a thrilling exploration through the Icelandic wilderness. From unique views only accessible from the sky and the freedom to explore the landscape with your hand on the throttle, you’ll experience the amazing variety of Iceland’s beauty, after the helicopter tour. The helicopter team can order you a taxi to get back to the hotel since they do not offer drop-off .

PART 1 – ATV ACTION – MINUTES FROM YOUR REYKJAVÍK HOTEL We pick you up from your Reykjavik hotel*, and take the short journey to our quad biking base camp. There we’ll make sure you get all the safety and driving instruction you need. No experience necessary – so all are welcome. From base camp, we head across the countryside and up to the mountains. The ride itself is an amazing buzz, topped only by stunning views across the Reykjavik area. PART 2 – HELICOPTER RIDE OVER REYKJAVÍK! After we conquer the off-road territory, we’ll drop you off with our friends at Norðurflug Tours. From there you will explore the skies while taking in aerial views of Reykjavík and the local mountain ranges. You’ll be captivated by these unforgettable views. The highlight of the tour includes landing your helicopter on top of a mountain for 20 minutes to get out and stop to appreciate the view. This is a once in a lifetime experience. It was my first time on quad bikes, and I absolutely loved it! Everything was perfectly organized and thought out down to the smallest detail. I want to give a special thanks to my amazing guide, Weronika — she was truly exceptional! Friendly, patient, and professional, she made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Her positive energy and care for every detail really stood out. It was also my first time flying in a helicopter, and I enjoyed it so much. The helicopter pilot was fascinating as well!

We had the absolute best time on our Safari Quads adventure, and a huge part of that was thanks to Weronika! From the very beginning, she made everyone feel welcome and at ease. Her instructions were super clear and easy to follow, which made us feel confident even if we didn’t have much ATV experience. What stood out the most was her energy and enthusiasm — she kept the whole group smiling and laughing while also making sure we were safe and comfortable. She shared fun facts about the area and knew the best spots for photos, so we came away with great memories and some amazing pictures. Also wanted to thank Arthur who picked us up from our hotel. If you’re booking with Safari Quads, I can’t recommend Weronika enough. She’s knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire tour unforgettable. Thank you, Weronika, for making our day such a memorable adventure!

Pickup was provided and arrived on time. Weather was wet and some participants cancelled so we ended up with a private tour with our guide, Arthur. He thoroughly explained the operation as I had never driven an ATV before. He was great! We had a wonderful time. Reached the top of a mountain over Reykjavik. Great view. Our time was good so we were able to take a longer ride back. The trail went through tall Lupine and was very pretty. Arthur then drove us to domestic airport for our helicopter adventure which surpassed expectations!!

My wife and I had an amazing time with Safari Quads. The instructor was professional and very knowledgeable. He made sure we were safe at all times and allowed us to enjoy a carefree ATV adventure. Highly recommended. Our helicopter excursion was equally amazing. Our pilot was also professional, knowledgeable and super funny. We had a wonderful time. Also highly recommended!!!

4 stars for the ATV - they were amazing and on time. Loved the trail ride. Only issue was the driver took us back to the hotel instead of to the helicopter. We had to remind him that they were supposed to transfer us to the helicopter. 1 star for the helicopter - what was supposed to be a 45 minute flight was barely 20 minutes. The pilot never said a word to the 5 people in the helicopter during the flight. We stopped at the top of a lake for a few minutes and still not a single word from the pilot. No introduction no narrative about our surroundings. Nothing. We didn’t stop long because the wind was so bad. Then went back to the airport. I realize the weather was an issue but I feel like he could’ve taken us to see other sights or communicated why we only had a 15 minute flight. I feel like I should be reimbursed for part of this excursion.

The team at Safari Quads are so friendly, professional and a delight to meet. I have now done two sessions with them of two hours each and going back again before my flight home. Great adventures off road and simply stunning scenery. The guides who took me out were absolutely top notch. The helicopter trip today was one of the highlights of my holiday. The pilot was brilliant and very knowledgeable. Today's weather was beautiful and I am still on a high from the ride two hours later. Thoroughly recommend both trips.

Genuinely one of the best days of my life. Wish the ATV was longer. Was just getting into it when it was time to head back but it was great fun. The sunrise views over the snowy mountains were spectacular. Then on to the airport for one of the best ever experiences. Simply amazing. Its not the cheapest trip, but worth every penny and highly recommend. Yes maybe it leaves you wanting more as both trips are only an hour, but its nice to leave half a day free as many other trips are full day trips and which can mean a busy schedule!

This was an amazing experience!! The guide was lovely and took photos for everyone. The driver was so lovely and went out of his way to help our group. 10/10 would recommend if you like activities like this!
