You are welcome to step into my 18th-century log cabin home and discover the art of baking traditional mustikkakukkos - a local delicacy! Using locally sourced ingredients you’ll craft this rustic blueberry pie while hearing stories about Finnish food, life in Saimaa countryside and our family’s history.
More than just a baking class, this is an immersion into Finnish culture. Surrounded by the inviting scent of freshly baked berries, you’ll knead, shape, and bake under expert guidance, learning time-honored techniques passed down through generations. Whether you're a seasoned baker or an absolute beginner, this experience is tailored for all skill levels. Individual travellers, families and friend groups are all welcome!
The best part? You’ll savor your homemade mustikkakukko fresh from the oven, served with rich vanilla sauce. Enjoy delightful conversation, authentic flavors, and the cozy charm of this historic setting—an experience that you will surely remember from Finland!

I will welcome you at my home next to our restaurant. Depending on the weather, we can drink non-alcoholic appetizer drinks under a maple tree in our restaurant's terrace or inside. The workshop is held in a 1700s log cabin in my home. Aprons are provided by the house. First we’ll make the base dough together, I’ll show you my way of filling the pies. I’ll instruct, advise, demonstrate. In the end we’ll drink tea/coffee and eat blueberry rye pies with vanilla sauce / ice cream together. You will get the recipe, a new talent and many memories with you!
