Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang)
Build in 1415, Tian An Men Square is one of the largest squares in the would, with total size of over 40 hectares. It is the main entrance of the Forbidden City, and has an overview of the communist influences on the country.
Forbidden City-The Palace Museum
The Forbidden City was built in 1406, which use to be Chinese Imperial Palace in Ming and Qing Dynasty. With over 180 acres and collection of great halls, you will see antiques and treasures representing all of China's history.

Disappointing! Can be improved greatly!

1.00This was the first group tour I took (others were private tours) and unfortunately it was the most disappointing! I think this tour would have been very informative, however there was too much personal political talk from the guide which ruined the experience. The experience also felt very rushed and a considerable amount of time was spent in obtaining the tickets for the Forbidden City and we wasted 45-60 mins waiting in the cold and wet which didn't make for a good start to the experience and cut into our time to actually see all the elements of the FC. We did stop off for a Chinese lunch but again the food stop was one of these places that is attached to sales place and this one was a pearl shopping. The food was extremely mediocre and was cold and not very enjoyable. It would be nice given we have spent so much money coming to Beijing and part of the experience is to sample all the delicious food at local places to be then taken to a place which serves cold buffet chinese and international food feels a little bit 'short changed'. Nobody in the group wanted to see the pearl shopping and so we bypassed this. I think this would be a good tour but more information relating to the tour and to eat at more local places in the hutongs would be a far better experience and for which I have came to Beijing for!

1.00Terrible experience The organisation was non existent. We started one hour later and waited a further hour because some tickets were not bought in advance. The guide was very superficial and giving more political views than history. More interested in taking us to shop rather than giving us the opportunity of a lifetime. We were supposed to spend 2 hours in the forbidden city but effectively stayed there only half an hour and ran through it too quickly to enjoy it. I would discourage anybody by using Hantang international travel services going forward and do not get Michael as your guide.

5.00Our guide was brilliant 👏 and very funny !!!! 😄 we did so much it was a long happy. We had a special meal provided for us for lunch. Many thanks for a happy day 😊
