What To Expect
Summer Palace (Yiheyuan)
Your private guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in the morning. Start your first activity for today: Panda Viewing: Pandas are most active in the morning as they are more energetic after a night's rest. These adorable black - and - white creatures are national treasures of China. You will see them munching on bamboo, climbing trees, or playing around. The guide will introduce you to different aspects of pandas, such as their diet which mainly consists of bamboo, their unique breeding habits, and their significance in Chinese culture.
Hall of Benevolence and Longevity
Next, head to the Summer Palace. The transfer takes approximately 20 minutes.vEnter the Summer Palace through the East Palace Gate. This is the main entrance of the palace. The guide will explain the historical significance of the gate and the grandeur of the imperial architecture. Walk to the Hall of Benevolence and Longevity. This was the place where the Empress Dowager Cixi and Emperor Guangxu held court and handled state affairs. The guide will tell you about the important events that took place here and introduce the furniture and decorations in the hall, which reflect the imperial style of that time.

4.00Tour timings should not be so early. Tour guide Shery was good and showed us around everything patiently. Driver Jin Fu was nice. Overall good experience

5.00Our guide Lucia was great as she was able to speak English and she explained the history of China before arriving to our destination. It was unfortunate that we did not manage to visit Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven due to heavy downpour but we were glad that we went to panda house and at least we were able to see the panda though they were sleeping. I believed it will be a fantastic day if the weather is sunny. :(

5.00I had a fantastic time on Lucy’s tour and saw lots of Beijing. My favorite part was seeing the Summer Palace. I saw Temple of Heaven, Panda House, we stopped in at a souvenir shopping center, and also had some authentic Chinese food. She spoke very good English, the driver was very friendly and I greatly enjoyed the tour. I would recommend this tour to friends and anyone visiting Beijing. It was a great way to see some top notch local spots getting the historical context to go along with it.
