5.00This was a great experience. The meeting location was easy to find and Kevin, the guide gave thorough instructions and information on the way up to the Great Wall. This is perfect for solo travelers as you can meet others and be with a group but also have flexibility to go off on your own. It’s nice to know someone is checking on you and that you make it back. Pay the few bucks for the lunch. It was worth it. The ride back was quiet as your pretty spent by the end. Kevin made sure everyone made it off to whatever they weee doing next.

1.00Tourguide Kevin initially seemed nice but then turned out very rude. Apparently, we needed to pay an extra 140 yuan each person (about $20) in the bus for the cable car which wasn't really an option because you simply can't walk it. When we mentioned that this should have been communicated upfront, Kevin immediately got very defensive and condescending, making a whole scene and trying to make us look bad in front of everyone, shouting "he can refund the 280 yuan if we can't afford it". We said that the money wasn't the point but he still came back several times to give us the money back "so we can walk". How beyond rude! Obviously, this wasn't about the money but the communication, and this could have been an easy conversation but Kevin made it a very bad experience which left us shocked and disgusted. So, the tour itself is nice but no, do NOT book with this company!
